This feels like you didn't watch Ocean's 12.

I think they call that a theme and it is intentional. Butcher keeps seeing visions of his dead wife, homelander dealing with his childhood, Hughes dealing with his mother’s betrayal.

A quiet place was an okay script that had some interesting quirks but it just wasn’t a filmable movie. Krasinki made it a movie.

1, Krasinkin had been writing for a while and 2 the quitt place script is out there to read and you can see it was some guys on their first acript who had a great idea (have to stay quiet) but no idea how to write a screenplay.

Yeah, this whole thing, via trailer, feels like the director trying to make sense of his own blackness, where maybe he’s too accommodating to white people. As opposed to the magical negro trope, which isn’t even about magic or necessarily white comfort, but a black person just on the outside of the protagonist, whose

Cameron Diaz was in a different movie in gangs of new york, but I think that was because Scorcese got a little lost in the story on that one. I don’t blame her, since she’s a good actress, I blame him.

“plant” means someone like Bobbi Althoff. Who was a new tiktoker one year and is interviewing Drake the next year. She got signed up by a talent agency and they put a lot of weight behind her to get her views and then started sending their clients to her for viral moments.

I’m not rejecting Allen, just saying that this movie scratches a different itch. After a Woody Allen movie, a certain kind of intellectual will pat himself on the back, because it elevates intellectualism and sort of bends the story to its will.

I think Iron Man set the MCU tone, and Norton was trying to make a bad script better, and Feige couldn’t really let it happen.

I feel like the tone is completely different, Woody Allen is often so clearly the good guy and there’s a lot of wish fulfillment in his work. To the extent there is bitterness, it usually gets wiped away quickly.

It’s nothing like Woody Allen. Its more like a grown up version of the 90s talky indy movies. Except, where in those movies, people have the confidence of youth and as they discuss their ideas about life, all these guys have left is bitterness about reality with just a little bit of a hope for a future that may be

slow jerk is one of the most reliably funny bits I’ve ever scene.

One of the things about Bill Murray, is that this stuff has been known for years. It’s not like everything is brand new. He’s a known dick, that historically crosses lines. Sure, you can say,” that’s the kind of guy I’m okay with, as long its not directed at me” but people will call you on it.

I can’t get the aintitcool Blade II review out of my brain and so I can never place it this high, also swap the original xmen for apocalypse.

That is exactly what I said.  Roman loses, because he fails to reconcile the relationship, not because of the dick pics.  Gerri also loses which is why she’s kind of just talking to herself at the end of the scene.

Watch it again, For Roman the scene is about the “I’m sorry” and wanting to be friends. Gerri tries to make it about money and compromat but Roman does not care about that. That’s why both walk away angry. Gerri knows that her leverage and threats are worthless, which has been something that has come up every time she

I think you missed what I was saying, he shrugged off the dick pic and isn’t going to give in to her money demands. He was very upset that Gerri wouldn’t just be friends with him. He wanted to restore their freindship and he is pissed because it ended up as a business negotiation he wants no part of.

He gets owned and hurt because he wants geri to be his mother, confidant, lover, friend, and she keeps turning him down. He couldn’t care less about the legal bits. Her not accepting him is what destroys him in these scenes between them, but you can see in gerri mumbling away at the end, that she also realizes that

They are on strike against tv/movie companies not online journalism. Also, the magazines are a separate branch.  I remember the relocation but didn’t actually check the state of the union for the AV club. Still, she’s not against the union.
