So far, my favorite reaction on Facebook was some jerk trying to compare this to the SNES release of Mortal Kombat having the blood color changed.

Oh, that’s definitely true of season five. I didn’t even know that last episode was the finale! I just checked the schedule the next week, assumed it was going on a midseason hiatus and then found out a little bit after that the season was over.
Yeah, the character development and plotting on Venture Bros. is amazing. There have been many times when I just can’t explain to people why this show on Adult Swim that’s older than my children but is just now at six season is possibly the most complex and deep show on TV. Especially when you try to start them at the…
I just finished my rewatch of the series last night. I’m ready. I can’t wait. I need it now.
TMNT never crossed my mind, but I’m happy it’s getting made. My list would include JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, G Gundam and Godzilla.
I hate to be that person, but really, Jumanji? I never really understood the love for that movie. It’s like most summer blockbusters for me. Sure it was fun once, but I don’t think it’s a good movie. Not a bad movie either, it’s just OK.
“This is a dark fucking period!”
Yeah. This is my pick. All of the others that I’ve seen mentioned so far (Jurassic World, The Force Awakens, Terminator: Genesys, Spectre) I enjoyed a lot. Some of them weren’t the best thing ever, but were fun and entertaining rides and that’s all I wanted from them.
They were both good as well. I’m not sure if it was because a lot of the reviews I saw pegged it as middle of the road, but I had a great time with it. I had some issues, like Craig and Lea Seydoux didn’t have that great of chemistry with each other and Christoph Waltz wasn’t disappointing, but he played the character…
My favorite scene out of Spectre is when Bond interrogates the mouse. It’s just such a perfect character moment.
I would say if you’re interested in getting a lot of the winks and nods, watch the first and third movie (you can watch the second movie too, but it’s pretty bad) especially for the introductions of Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg as two of the franchise’s best recurring characters. Definitely watch Ghost Protocol before…
I actually remember early on in casting for the movie an article mentioned possible casting for Obi-Wan’s daughter/granddaughter. I remember it very clearly and wonder why it’s never been brought up in all this discussion.
My previous experience with Emily Blunt was The Devil Wears Prada, The Wolfman and her excellent cameo in The Muppets (might be a few others, but those are the ones that I remember most.) For some reason, I had been pining for to do an action film for a bit before Edge of Tomorrow.
The face stretching in Insurrection? Really? That’s not near that bad of an effect.
I wouldn’t say they were bad, it’s that they just didn’t know when to stop. In some scenes that should have easily be done and looked really well with props (like the original film, having a good mix between the two) or when it was a prop they then slathered it in CGI (the scene with Pratt rubbing the raptor’s head…
Yeah, I didn’t remember either until the first time I rewatched it (before M:I-III came out.) He’s the “I am so clearly here for the money and I will cut all of you in a second if I don’t get it.” guy. Sadly, he’s not stealing the entire movie out from everyone in the most bizarre way like Godzilla or turning in a…
No problem! I just picked up the Blu-ray on Black Friday (along with Mad Max: Fury Road and Godzilla 2014, the latter which I wouldn’t pick up if I wasn’t a Godzilla completionist) and watched it fourth time and it even holds up after repeat viewings. It’s really sad how badly it did at the box office (bad enough that…
The parts I remember most are Jean Reno being a foolish entertaining dick, Ving Rhames being Ving Rhames (I do love his character so much. He’s the only one other than Cruise to appear in all the movies, right?) and that admittedly pretty damn tense train scene at the end.
I would’ve liked if they brought Daniel Craig’s trooper back for that scene. Really, I would like a whole film with Craig as a stormtrooper. I headcannoned that he was also one of the troopers who walked away “noping” at Ren’s rage fit.
