And Spectreman. The pitiful bootlegs that exist are so bad. Missing opening/closing titles, dub only, poor picture quality (most of them were literally just VHS rips pulled off YouTube). Then they have the gall to try and charge $40 a set.

Probably gonna go the way of the Ultra shows on Crunchyroll. Meaning: watch what you can now, before they become exclusive to Mill Creek’s streaming service.
It was a co-production, and at least they own the rights in Japan, as they recently released it on Blu-ray, with both the Japanese and US cuts. I’m also curious what this means for Ultraman Great and Ultraman Powered, which were also co-productions, but Tsuburaya still owns the Japanese rights to, as they were also…
This is correct, several sources has confirmed all dub materials return to Tsuburaya when the contracts run out. Theoretically, they have the dubs for Ultraman ‘66 and Ultra Seven, but I would say chances of those dubs reappearing are slim, being they’d have to renegotiate contracts that are out of house, something at…
Kind of disingenuous to call a show created by one of the creators of Godzilla a “knock-off”.
You know, not everything needs to be a Lynchian not of suspense and abstract metaphor to be interesting right? I’m more interested in how well they execute the formula and how they play with it than be a condescending dick about something people enjoy.
God, I love Mebius. I know it’s probably the most popular Heisei Ultraman show and it gets a ton of praise, but it really, totally deserves it. The characters are wonderful and Bogal is my favorite Ultra kaiju design of all time.
Nah, Kojima was doing that as far back as the MGS2 days. Remember having a complex formula for ice melting? That you would only see in one spot in the game?
Honestly, it’s kind of disappointing to learn that this has an actual story. I would’ve been fine playing through Hideo Kojima’s Wild Abstract Nightmare Ride.
It’s especially amazing cos Kojima himself is known to be the king of feature creep.
Even Kojima’s game about race and language (MGSV), was mostly white people. Sometimes he has a good message, but stumbles upon the execution of that message. (See also: “I didn’t write Ocelot’s sexuality into his character in MGSV cos I didn’t feel like I could represent that voice.” Just write him like however you…
Not to pick too much at your comparison here, but if you format your computer, what games is the Steam Launcher looking for exactly? In the way you’ve described it, it’s a clean drive with no games on it, and no way to install the games before you install Steam.
They both share the Japanese text, but 3 second anime gifs is more a futurefunk thing. Vaporwave is the Windows 95/neon aesthetic.
John Wick 3 is very much not in theaters now, otherwise I’d have watched it already lol
Konami should follow their example. I’d kill to have the Metal Gear and Silent Hill soundtracks easuly accessible.
Rogue Legacy and Undertale were the first game soundtracks I really felt comfy having in my regular shuffle. Since then, I’ve really paid close attention to the indie game soundtrack scene. Some really good jams.
How do you get that? Literally the first thing that comes up when I google “Die Farbe movie” is this:
This an excellent time to plug Die Farbe, a German film, which portrays the color by having everything else as black and white. It’s probably the best adaptation we’re gonna get, even with this news.
I really wish they’d picked a different story. I think Die Farbe is the best “Colour” adaptation we’re likely to get.
I stopped watching that in the first video when he compares the game to a neuroatypical child. Except, y’know, he didn’t phrase it so nicely.
