For sure, otherwise they'd be in 3rd, but I bet they take it in consideration when analyzing the situation they (and the industry) are at right now.

Still it has always been my stronger memory of the show, even before I knew of its infamy. It's that jarring.

It's funny to notice that NBC is the number one network this season so far on 18-49s. It's like the opposite of bunch-of-hit-shows stuck-in-4th ABC.

One thing I was thinking: is the show on cable syndication in the US? Because where I live it repeats on cable the entire fucking day! Like, at least 8 episodes a day. And that has been going on since the late '90s. There's absolutely no way anyone here wouldn't have seen at least a few episodes.

I have a passing memory of watching "Marge vs. the Monorail" in the mid-'90s. I was really young, like 7. I don't live in the US and shows took some time to appear on mid-afternoon broadcast TV.

Yeah, I was 16 and I don't sympathize at all. I guess I'm just old enough to have experienced the (late) peak of the show to some extent.

I did.

It's Always Sunny, for sure, it's Seinfeld on crack.
Although I always felt there's a certain quality to Seinfeld, a "warm disdain", that sets it apart from every no-hugging show out there.

I don't think so, because a lot of the stuff HIMYM got from Friends is exactly what set it apart from Seinfeld (soap opera storylines, main characters relationships, etc)

I went to see it in the movie theater. The experience of watching it on the big screen barely outweighed the annoyance of the teenage fanbase.

I got as well, how could we not, some jokes were close to pure prejudice. But of course, it all got overblown, as it always does.

I agree with you, but just because I prefer a light joke that doesn't pretend to be deep to the heavy handed one sided satirical approach that would certainly come from try to do criticism.

I Can Hear The Heart Beating as One is the best album as introduction.

Oh boy, better catch up.
Although, when I read the title, I thought they were going to be one of April's favorite band or something, Neutral Milk Hotel style.

That's the one part on the hate towards them I sort-of agree. They're talking about something people work on, which involves the life of dozens of people who live for it and depend on its income, from writers and actors to general staff. By cherishing a correct prediction of cancellation, they're basically celebrating

You're right. I don't really follow the Bubble Watch.
Anyway, I don't understand why people get so mad over their analysis. They're doing the numbers game, and they're usually right. They get it wrong when other aspects come into play, like fan base and international markets, but these only apply to few shows.

They don't, they've been classifying it as "on the bubble" the entire season.

Jagwar Ma / Parquet Courts, which is pretty unremarkable (pretty good bands however, wish they were doing Lollapalooza Brazil as well)

What about Sublime? They also had a multi-platinum record around that time.

They can in all (well, most of) those places I'm talking about. Still people don't do it as fervently. Now, that could be for a whole lot of different reasons, and that's where my doubt lays.
