My fix: Since Monaco is on there for Historic reasons, lets embrace that ethos and remove the wings. Make them look like the torpedoes from the 60's by just deleting the front wing and rear wing and all of a sudden mostly only mechanical grip. Might spice it up and maybe everyone has to come out with nostalgic livery

zactly!

interesting point.  This is a lot of mental energy to spend on this kind of devotion and idolization.

Not lifted enough, too clean & you actually ride bicycles.

I missed the original polling, but I offer you up a threesome owned by the same deranged person. Sorta hits a couple of the demographics but who’d a thought a Porsche owner?

Amazed to see the bed of the pickup survived and acted like a giant can opener to the side of the box truck.

I would agree on that.  My only lean into Audi’s is like the AWD aspect and while I used to like most things BMW, the more recent gen and designs leave me a bit meh.

These Audi’s are not meant to be lithe and nimble per se’, they are meant to haul ass in all sorts of conditions while being supremely comfortable/capable. M5 series BMW’s to me, were more the open shirted, hairy chested and medallion wearing uncle to the normal sedans. For example, I liken my S5 to a Mustang GT in

This is the epitome of a Q ship. It could cruise all day at ludicrous speeds and not attract too much attention.

no doubt, just wondering what the over/under costs of that would be. Could be she’s sitting higher than originally because she’s no longer fitted out and riding higher. I would think maybe pumping water into her to add ballast to lower her could be cheaper too if they hadn’t done that

I’m going to assume they have to wait to low tide to allow the smoke stacks to clear the bridges, but since its being sent to a watery grave, I wonder if it would have been cheaper to lop them off rather than spend money on closing the bridges.

If FIA doesn’t want to hear the swearing then lets stop broadcasting the in car radio chatter. I know the example would be putting a mike on say soccer or football players and boy would that be blue right? So lets not mike them up at that time.  I personally like hearing the banter as I’m sure most of the world does,

It’s certainly an unintended circumstance of the multipurpose nature of the tracks to need this duality.  Maybe its revisiting the layouts for the race to be able to modify the track without affecting the other type of racing.

totally agree!

yikes, that’s harsh!

Back in the day there wasn’t spending caps. Tobacoo money was everywhere and there were qualifying only cars with spares at the tracks for them to jump into if they got wrecked.  I’m probably conflating a few eras but the first answer is, no there were no spending caps.

It’d be better if Piastri just steams into the side of Max and does a pit move on him.  That way Lando keeps going for the win!

Which is partly why these rules came into affect.  No one liked them when they did those egregious moves back then and we don’t like it now.

Theoretically the tracks could just scatter rocks over the tarmac runoff areas (like marbles!) and it would still be a deterrent. Next Moto race, they hoover them all up and stock pile for the next F1 race. Impractical? yes but could be done.

Part of being an amazing driver means you aren’t a giant man baby when things don’t go your way.  And I don’t mean the average post race winging that most of the drivers can dip into from time to time, but the Max level BS that he spews. He may be immensely talented but its partially wasted on him.  Most seasoned
