I’m old enough to have been a passenger in my buddy’s parents then new, Granada. His dad was a fan of MB and Fords. They had a 67 MB in baby blue with blue vinyl interior and the Granada was a dark metallic blue with tan interior and tan landau vinyl roof.  The MB was the special weekend car while the Granada was his

Don’t forget the earliest beginnings of the cracks began with the spending limit issues (too much catering!). This reduced their wind tunnel time.

And had four doors with headlights and tail lights... Beyond a reach for Ford on that one

and you can still find many MB’s alive and running today!

Now playing

But if you squinted, it could be mistaken for a Mercedes!

And they washed any goodness from its Alfa Romeo underpinnings right out of every part of that car.

Buddy of mine in HS got his hands on a Cosworth Vega. We were all tinkerer’s (this is 1983) and even this car left us no doubt as to what a POS it was. The minute he got it running right he dropped it like a hot potato as it was surely going to stop running right very soon. I will admit to thinking it wasn’t really a

As a current owner of an 09 S5 with MT, I can say that Audi seems to have completely lost the plot. The S5 even in the earlier 5 doors versions still looked good. That new rear reminds me of a Ford ZX2 which is absolutely not a good thing. Interior is very nice though. I will tell you the seats in my S5 are all day

Alfa Romeo Giulia in Quadrifoglio spec. 500+hp with the bugs finally worked out of them.  Already rarish to begin with so as a few self immolate and others are trashed/crashed/abused over the years, there should be a healthy niche for them.

Oh, I understood your sarcasm for sure! These are cars only a mother or first car owner could love or at least reminisce about.

No way I’m trading insurance after seeing those reverse lights and Civic ass jump up. My call to the cops is that they purposedly smashed into me and I have evidence.

I crossed up comments. Prior commentors said he was 50...

Keeping and maintaining the car you currently have...

That tracks... The ones I had to drive at my job were material but so dirty from various construction workers jumping in and out of them that I can’t be too sure what they were

Lotsa truth right there. Squids always raise the awareness factor.

I’ve had a bee hit me in the exposed neck and man did that freakin hurt. Glad I always wear full face and keep the visor down at speed.

Same here. Full face all my riding life of 35 plus years. Once in a blue moon I’d ride with an open face if I was taking a trip into NYC from where I used to live in NJ, but I fealt way to vulnerable. Also, how many times have you had a bee/bug/wasp explode on your visor or have a stone kicked up and think, geeze

I switched to modulars 10yrs ago because I wear glasses and liked the ability to take the helmet off without messing with my glasses. You can get them pretty light. My current one (Bell SRT) is actually lighter than my last full face was.

This just in: DUH!!

It is a really decent system. Sedan had plenty of room but in the hatch it does eat up a bit relative to the size of the trunk.
