whacky but there is truth to this statement!

That scene was creepy as hell, mind you the movie does have a lot of those type of moments.
I normally find that having read the book partly spoils the movie since the book has an ability to deal with issues longer and more in depth. I’m convinced I need to read the book now!
You missed a step. What killed station wagons, and I’m talking mainstream ‘merican wagons was the Mini van. Chryslers wood sided econobox based vans were a better (in practical terms) than the gas guzzling tanks. The Euro’s soldiered on though it was really only Volvo making them in the greatest numbers when compared…
For the past 20 years I’ve been practical dad with sane DD cars: Saturn Vue & 3 different Ford Foci. But last year my daughter got her license and then got my 14 Focus Hatch as her first car. I decided that since we had two normal nice cars in the family (wife’s is a Mazda CX9) that I could get back to my roots of…
I never read the book and came to the movie cold. Was a jarring movie from that angle and I thought the end was good. Again, without benefit of the book I can’t judge but I did like the way the movie finished.
Coulda been worse I guess...
One day I will attend Goodwood! Revival of FOS, doesn’t matter!
You say “Shadow”... I had one of those in an AFX slot car. Nose was so low it used to hit the track joints and stop so I filed it down to make it clear them.
Cancerian here... Spot on with the Volvo long roof.
Over the years I’ve attended F1 both in US (Indy 2x), Montreal and Silverstone. I’ve been to a bunch of events at Lime Rock and a couple at Watkins Glen.
Trying not to lose my head over this story.
I agree, especially the bubble back hatchback.
How about best out of a Quadruplet? GM along with Suzuki made the Chevy Equinox, Pontiac Torrent, Saturn Vue and the Suzuki XL7 on basically the same platform. While I owned an 07 Vue with the Honda sourced V6 for nearly 13years, I did get to drive the Suzuki variant and it was far better. Suzuki took the platform and…
Just Stop Oil has now moved from the just annoying protestors stopping traffic and occassionally trying to get run over by F1 cars, to truly criminal behavior.
My current bike, Ducati Diavel has no reserve petcock but my old Triumph and my first bike did. Certainly saved me a few times. The Diavel has a warning light when low so I’ve got about 20miles till empty at that point.
I agree, there are some more durable models but once deffered maintenance comes in or general ambivalence the bills get exponentially more expensive. I think that’s the moment people go and get a newer version to replace it. It thus becomes a hooptie of sorts and the downward spiral is set in motion.
Maybe too broad a statement, but most of the Luxury German sedans. They are so cost prohibitive to repair that they’ll just fade away. I mean I own a 09 S5 but the A5's are practically (pricewise) throw away cars right now as their 4cyl is prone to grenade. So I guess I’ll specifically nominate Audi A4’s, but again…
I agree with you in principle on both. The C-Max was a good vehicle at the wrong time. UK’s offered a Grand C-Max that was actually a small mini van with three rows. I rented one in UK couple years ago with their Turbo Diesel engine and it was fantastic.
Initially yes, still annoying when you’re trying to not spill or overfill your motorcycle.
