True, mine was technically the MkII Euro.  Still nearly the same lines but I do love the MkIII nose better.

I think you have to read it it with the understanding of their angle of approach especially when it comes to cars.  They are geared to the general consumer not a gear head.

One of the laziest had to be the Mercury Capri here in the US vs the Ford Capri in the rest of the world. The only thing changed was the removal of the Ford Oval on the grill and slap the Capri name on it. Oh and put ugly heavy bumpers on it. I still loved my Mercury Capri though.
