My friend bought a Berretta new back in the day.  5spd manual. I loved the engine sound and trans was pretty nice but boy howdy did it have crazy torque steer under heavy acceleration.  Car would dart around pretty bad and I can’t imagine how that would have been in the rain or snow.

That dry Sicilian heat has preserved that place well.  It really does look like people just up and left for the day.

Probably a non hybrid Toyota Rav4. No hybrid because I wouldn’t want to deal with that complexity down the road.

Agreed. I wasn’t suggesting that tunnels would work in Florida but better control of the at grade crossings seems like the biggest issue right now.

Yup, the top pic is the correct wheel for the 535i or even the 528e. The lower BBS style is from the 535is. They look good since they are for the 5 series and I’d be ok with the car at $23,900 sporting them. Not the incorrect and ugly 3 series wheels.

Its crazy to NOT have full gates at a high speed at grade crossing. LIRR just completed their 3 track on the Hempstead line and eliminated a bunch of at grade crossings by having traffic duck under the rails. This allows the express trains to stay express and not slow down at the at grades and more importantly is

I think this was a better show of power when Chris Harris used a G wagen to tow a Fiesta.

sorry, didn’t mean to reply to the Saab Sonnet....

Anytime I see a Fiat 600 I gush and envision my late father. These are much harder to find in the US vs a 500 but as a new born I was brought home in this actual car.

Eta engine was a solid motor. Meant to be their “fuel efficient” version compared to the 535i. I remember driving one (I worked at a body shop that worked on BMW’s through a dealer) and not realizing it was an “e” instead of an “i” went to rev it out like it was an “i” and thought I blew the motor when the rev limiter

Mid 80's I worked at a autobody shop that had an exclusive with a local BMW dealer for all their bodywork. The 535i or the 535is were always my favorite to drive. Beautiful manual, great engine sound, comfy and quick for its day. My only niggle is with those wheels. The stock look far far better and if you are trying

If it’s only one its the Multipla. If I can have a few I also want the MB since I had a 73 280 that I loved, and I want the two weird Cit and Tatra roll backs just because!

Its nice but its overpriced...

Riding in the back of a airport town car with my wife and 5yo returning home from a Euro trip. Guy was rude upon pick up, smelled and unkempt. Gave me crap about belting my daughter into her car seat. The drive home is 20-25 min and mostly a localish road 3 lanes each way with lots of traffic lights. Its dark and

yup! that was the issue! I think they weren’t allowed to be tracked right or your warranty was voided?

Aren’t Nissan GTR’s bad on track? I think I recall that one especially again if I recall, Nissan used to forbade that type of activity or some such restriction?

I went to a Ford Ecoboost even years ago and got to drive the Focus and Fiesta ST’s back to back on their parking lot Autocross course.  While I liked the extra elbow room inside the Focus I actually preferred the Fiesta on the course as it just seemed livelier and more responsive.  I’ve had two Focus (SEL and

I feel some of this is a post covid lock down hangover. During the time when people rarely went out (I had to as part of my work) I’d encounter many people just ignoring the rules of the road (stop signs were a suggestion, speed limits ignored, turn signal optional) since they were essentially empty. I actually

You tell a nearly identical tale of my experiences.
