How the hell can these people get away with exempting themselves and their families from the very changes they are insisting upon for the American people? This is not rhetorical, I don’t understand how they can respond to this question without revealing how self-serving they are.

$36k is probably low for the actual cost to others. Insurance companies negotiate lower costs for their insured clients. So when I get a notification that my ultrasound cost $1,200, an uninsured person probably gets a bill for more than that.
