I hear the higher ups are trying to clean up the image of this place, so they’re going to bring in Shane Smith from Vice.
Hopefully people read the entire article because there’s an all time simmons paragraph where he compares the people in the Patriots scandal to the characters in Almost Famous, which sounds like something you would make up if you were trying to parody a simmons article.
Yes, that may be true, but right now, he is looking as good as he ever has in a Liverpool squad that he has gelled with. And now he would have the chance to continue that form in the later stages of the CL. He is taking a big risk moving to a new club where he cannot play in the CL. No matter what club you move to,…
I neglected to mention for the sake of the story that I bought a Mane last year, which along with my Suarez are the only two that I still can wear. I thought about putting tape over the ‘Sterl’, and then adding an ‘s’ to make an ‘ings’ jersey, but by the sounds of it, that won’t be pertinent much longer, either!
Cout’s summer transfer drama was why when I went shopping for my 125th anniversary kit in August, I went with Salah. I look like a genius between now and when he leaves for $90mm.
I had a benteke, then got a mane, this year was a rushie, and after the game yesterday ordered a VVD kit
Get a Lazar Markovic jersey please?
My kid has a Coutinho and asked for a Salha for Christmas, which he did not get. And judging by the rumours of Real Madrid chasing him, I was probably wise not to fork over the bucks. I see Ian Rush is saying he should be valued at 200 million, which ought to be good for some shits ‘n’ giggles when the time comes.
It still benefits Barca because now they can afford to rest Iniesta and save him for CL, considering his age.
As a Liverpool fan, I have come to realize that I need to stop buying jerseys, because I apparently have complete control over their outgoing transfers. I bought a Suarez jersey in Winter of 2013, and he was sold the next Summer. I bought my wife a Gerrard jersey, and he transferred to LA Galaxy after that year. I…
Klopp claimed the VVD purchase wasn’t contingent on selling Coutinho so I assume at least some of the proceeds from the sale are still available, but I’m not a Liverpool accountant.
Coutinho can’t play in the CL now, right?
And it’s not like Barca need help in the league.
Seconded. I know Monaco has said they’re not selling him this January (and he’s ineligible for CL, which blows), but a real, official 90 million pound offer, along with Lemar himself angling for the move, should be able to get it done.
I said it on the other Coutinho story the other day, but it’s a World Cup year; the guy wants to be at Barca anyway, so he probably thinks there’s less injury risk in heading to Spain now (no CL, La Liga pretty much done and dusted) than waiting for the summer.
As a Liverpool fan I can only thank Coutinho for his years of service and for being so good that Liverpool sold him at a 130mil profit (give or take a few mil, but who’s counting?). Good luck at Barca. Now let’s get Thomas Lemar in.
It pains me to say it, because I can’t stand the guy, but Alejandro Moreno (and you) are spot on about this. When discussing the possibility of him leaving during an ESPNFC segment, all the talk was about “what’s the fucking point of doing it RIGHT NOW?” from the perspective of both clubs. Which is accurate. But he…
This is a move that only makes sense because Coutinho wanted it. There is no good footballing reason to do this move now as opposed to the summer and a lot of reasons not to for both clubs. Liverpool is going to have to splash the cash to get and keep the best but when Barca/Real Madrid (and sometimes Man City) come…
he looked fantastic tonight, after the little bolasie slip up. It appears that we are in talks for mahrez, and lemar to soften the coutinho blow. As far as price goes, he costs what he costs.
