They do have the cachet, they just aren’t capitalizing on it for some insane reason. I get that crossovers and SUV coupes (“coupes”) sell; I don’t like it, but I’m fine with it. What I don’t understand is why those sales don’t translate to limited production sports cars and super cars.
The good ones are definitely hard to find, usually expensive - and still need some updating.
Hwy 17 is a nightmare, even on nice days.
Yes- its a very pretty road. But jesus some parts of it are scary as hell. I don’t reccomend it for anyone who might be scared of heights. Many parts lack guardrails too.
If only we could find a car we knew his son would think is cool, that’s also fast and has a reliable toyota engine. How will we ever dream up such a car.
Meanwhile, in Japan.
Seriously, Jalops, this is it. The moment of truth. We need to buy this car.
Although, one thing worth noting is that if the engine needs to run to satisfy a vehicle power demand, sending that power through a mechanical path is more efficient than sending it through an electrical path. That’s why the Gen 1 Volt has the clutch to engage the engine to the wheels (in one gear ratio), and why the…
I think that most people on here that say “never buy a van” don’t have kids. Can you get by driving a large sedan with two kids? Sure. Is it more comfortable, easier to get kids in and out of their seats, load strollers and luggage with a mini-van? Absolutely. Regardless if you need that third row seat or not,…
Subaru? Is that you Subaru with your horrible NVH?
Absolutely, you’d need China to essentially orchestrate a palace coup with an arrangement in place to support the new leadership economically and militarily in exchange for them ending their nuclear program and cooling it on the saber rattling.
I happen to be one of those weird human creatures with the squishy lumps on the chest and bizarre internal genitalia. I also gestated a tiny human for 9 months, so it’s fair to say the “mothering DNA” has been activated in me. When I’m on course, I magically stop being a mother. At least in my head, I do. You see,…
They can stay the hell away from RA. Being brought up to FIA level 1 standards will ruin the place.
the engine will only last 31,000 miles.
Ryan and I are fighting by the swing set after school.
Uber driver tells Uber CEO that he lost $97,000 because of him, and he went bankrupt because of it. Driver started pointing fingers in the CEO’s face after he basically told him how to run his own business. I’m not sure the tone of the CEO was unwarranted.
A couple weeks ago I would have argued with this and defended him but I have a hard time doing it now. I wouldn’t say it’s “US bad, everyone else good” but it’s at least “big countries are always wrong” which is not much better.
I never said the US was in the clear. Quite frankly I don’t really buy what you’re selling regarding US claims but our own claims should be subject to the same skepticism and examination as any of China’s. However the assertion I quoted just does not work on that level or really any other.
I’m glad you don’t assume gender. But that last one is just insulting.
