I may be in the minority here but there are really only two things that I don’t think are super great about this car.

Dude wut?
I don’t understand, why can’t I click the little NP button?
e39 bags were some of the first to get done. Particularly if you had the m-sport wheel. The inflators and that style bag were used in a lot of BMWs at that time. Maybe they switched inflators at some point so old stock was ok to swap in but in any case, I know that they got a lot of those at the same time rather early.
There’s a lot of “should have” in that post of yours and I wish they had done at least half of those. BMW could have done all of those things but I would still maintain that they aren’t on Porsche’s level. BMW has it’s roots in making cars for the people. Commuter cars. People forget teh 3 series wasn’t always a…
I think a big problem with that is assuming BMW carries the same cachet as Porsche does. They don’t. And while Porsche still makes very serious performance efforts with their cars (see the GT# etc. versions), BMW doesn’t really have that going for it outside that special 4 series variant. The M division doesn’t really…
Which one?
Dude, have you actually read Terrell’s work? Tyler isn’t the only one in desperate need of an editor.
I dunno, I like the 5 series “power in a business suit” kinda look. The rest of the lineup, eh.
Personally, I think the current gen 5 series design is really really well proportioned and just simply attractive. The rest of the lineup though doesn’t do it for me anymore. It’s almost as though BMW has lost the thread when trying to deal with more stringent safety requirements/more passenger comfort and amenities.…
What, the e34 M5? I’ve always found that one to have aged like a fine wine.
Or I dunno, stay off the grass? I mean, I get taking chances, but how many times to you have to slam yourself backwards into another car at 150 mph til you learn not to drop a wheel?
Whatever will Lotus do if all their reliable engines dry up?
No apparently they are supremely comfortable. But the fact remains that most people who purchase this vehicle will be spending the VAST majority of their time commuting. And for the cross-country jaunts, they fly.
Do you actually need it explained to you? I’m not trying to be rude by asking. Being a white male means you instantaneously have it easier in life because you fit into our existing socio-economic power structure that has been un-wittingly(or wittingly, depending on your politics) set up. Since this is a former Gawker…
Still not it. The tailights and the windsheild are stock. The rest are composite panels made to look “stock.” All of that is wrapped around a standard control chassis. It’s just as fake as NASCAR.
Ah yes, the series that puts rear-drive, eight cylinder Volvos that don’t really exist on the track. Your example is bad.
They had the fastest lap because their driver effed up and had to come due to a puncture. He then got release on Ultras wayyyy behind everyone else so he basically had the track to himself to set a fastest lap.
Ha, I could have maybe but I could never find a well sorted 3/4/5 in my price range (<10k). So I ended up with an e39 525 wagon with a five speed.
His actions say a lot more than he does. Just look at his face when he raised the second place trophy at Monaco.
