Premise is a bit misleading. You say that normal people would likely be fined the amount stolen. These guys paid it back. Those that didn’t are still being prosecuted.

That really doesn't apply to used cars. Carvana IS the dealer. They just put it all online. Problem with that is most people want to actually drive a used car before buying it. Might be a different story if they could sell new cars.

I don’t know about the low overhead bit. You may not have to worry about staffing physical stores, but you need a larger call center presence. Also, delivering single cars to individuals is far costlier than delivering a dozen cars to a retail lot. Same with sending inspectors to people to evaluate the cars before

I honestly don’t know if it’s any good, and I quite frankly don’t care. I was absolutely floored when Chevy came out with their 572 big block crate engine years ago. I've always dreamed of somehow finding my dad's old chevelle, and restoring it with one under the hood.

I’m not really sure what you’re trying to say here. The numbers are the numbers. Regardless of income, new car prices have been climbing for a while. We’ve hit historic highs multiple times within the last few years. New car loans are also longer than they’ve ever been, on average. I think it’s pretty clear that

There is exactly one new car in America that starts at less than $16,000, and it won’t be very easy to find a stripper Chevy Spark on a lot. You are, very clearly, irrelevant to this conversation.

Or, hear me out, sit down with the wife and discuss how dumb it is to spend $70k replacing a perfectly good car that you also happen to love driving just because she doesn’t want to learn stick. Depending on how big your kids are, it might only be a couple of years before they are able to leave the booster seat

My dad straight up LOVES the pine tree air fresheners. My sister likes to get the little refillable deals from Bath and Body Works. I personally just want my car clean. If it starts to smell like anything other than leather, it's time for a detail.

People who buy new cars as gifts probably aren’t concerned about 5-figure transactions.

“the self-proclaimed Qanon Queen of Canada”

I mean, if she is publicly collecting money from her followers on the reg, I think they ought to be able to come up with something.

Can we recruit the Mormons? They like handing out books.

My only gripe is that that they could have used a different name for the sub-brand. Maybe it doesn't play right in today's market, or maybe they're saving it for the liftback model, but Chevelle is right there. I'm glad that they are investing in more performance vehicles rather than just bigger and bigger trucks, but

Definitely a lot easier to do that with body-on-frame construction. And maybe we'll see similar methods with EVs once they reach an appropriate level of modularity.

Amazon owns the servers that run half the internet. I don't think listening to me talk to my dogs like an idiot is going to teach them anything new.

The fact that they could have given us the Avista but are giving us the Envista instead should convince anyone still on the fence that God hates his children.

The people currently buying EVs still skew toward the higher end ones. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t options out there for “normal” people. Fair point on the taxes and such, but Tesla still falls into that “luxury” category (even if I would never consider it as such).

So, I don’t really qualify as a frequent flyer. I fully several times a year, but I don’t travel for work or anything. I have status with a number of programs due to a combination of credit card perks, reduced status requirements from the pandemic (a lot of programs cut their requirements in half last year), and

I'm always curious as to what "didn't hear back in time for publication" actually means. Like, did they send an email to the PR team a week ago? Or did they DM the company Twitter account an hour before they submitted the piece?

I honestly don’t get all the hate for Frontier. This is a bad decision, sure, but I’ve found their online options pretty easy and effective to use. As for the other nickel-and-dime practices, I’ve largely avoided those. Paid $50 last year to do a status match with one of my hotel elite programs. Frontier elite status
