I hope they make those wheels an option on the performance trim. I live them, but I just don’t think they work with the yellow, which I also kind of love.

“In November 2021, and with just about 56,500 miles (91,000 km) on the clock”
Not shocking at all. Customers who fuck up in stupid ways always say some guy who works there told them they could do whatever they did.
“If you didn’t know any better, you might not know about its Dodge Viper bones.”
Rogan was a barely-closeted, alt-right, neo-libertarian asshole years ago. I remember seeing a seeing a trailer for one of his specials that was on Netflix 5-10 years back and thinking he was a backwards dick head. But now there are millions of these guys saying shit like this out in the open (see: the Facebook pages…
South Park has been referencing real people for going on 3 decades. Simpsons did it before that, and Saturday Night Live before that. And those shows aren’t doing anything so tame as saying X person didn’t do a thing that they actually did. Do you think Sally Struthers felt accurately represented when they made her…
Just do it David. The value of not having to spend all weekend on your back, in the cold, under greasy, rusty bits is worth far more than the depreciation. Plus sentimental value is a real thing. Given your penchant for keeping important-to-you cars forever, I’m pretty sure you can get your money’s worth.
“2004 Grand Cherokee"
How else are you supposed to find out how far you can get with an open artery before passing out?
Crank windows only really belong in cheap, no-frills, single cab trucks. Preferably small trucks. Since those don’t exist anymore, Dude can keep his cranks.
I have a Corolla hatch that I bought new in September. Even on smooth interstate pavement with clear lane markings, the assist ping pongs between the markers and actively fights you if you attempt to keep the car centered on your own. It’s really quite bad.
Okay, but how far from 2004 were you when this happened? Every vehicle my family ever had was kept until they were 13 years old at the youngest. The only one that ever had issues with the windows was the 87 Caravan, and it was pushing 20 by the time that happened.
Ah, yet another addition to the list of things that sound cool unless you actually know how words work.
I've seen the same thing. The local Hyundai and Kia dealerships look like Chevy dealers if you don't look at the sign when you drive by.
The crypto garbage is a big part of this, especially for consumer electronics. All of these miners are buying up the graphics cards and other equipment, most of the time using bots to beat out the average customer.
They actually had a pretty thorough article on this issue not too long ago.
I think this is something that the article misses. A lot of people got more active and interested in outdoor activities over the pandemic. A cheap Walmart bike was never made to go riding through the woods or down a mountain, even if it is marketed for that purpose. I doubt there are a ton of these bikes falling apart…
I rode my cheap Huffy pretty much every day when I was a kid in the 90s. Would spend most of the weekend tooling around the neighborhood with friends. Never broke it. Worst that ever happened was that the handlebar would get a little loose and would twist forward a bit. But you just twisted it back and tightened it…
How bad is the Golden Eagle? Like it’s out just the engine that needs divine intervention, or is the whole thing in bad shape?
New trucks are definitely gigantic. But a lot of that comes from pretty much every one of them being a 4-door these days, which wasn’t even an option 35 years ago. The height is the other main issue. The total height may only be a few inches more than back in the day, but the hood lines have gone way up to make room…
