At least the Mirage is honest about what it is. Cheap transportation with okay features and a warranty. The EcoSport is no better of a car for 33% more money. The only reason I would rather have an EcoSport is that the Mirage has less than 80 hp. But for folks who are the target market, that extra 5 grand is worth a

Of course, when they do have options, there’s no guarantee you’ll actually get them. I finally got my new Corolla Hatchback this week after waiting since April, and they built it with the spare tire in it instead of the spare-delete/extended cargo I ordered. After this long without a car, and with the price I worked

Not one Delica? It's like I don't even know you anymore.

A 1999 Mustang GT with over 400 hp got to 60 all of a half second quicker than the later Prowlers. 6-7 seconds was not slow for the time. I’m not sure how the things handled, but straight line speed was still solidly in sporty territory.

It's the rear that ruins it for me. The front on these is so pretty and so not what you picture when you think of Volvo. The back is just a bit of a mess. In some parts, you see the beginning of the boxiness they'd become known for later, then you have the big bubble window that was weirdly popular in the 70s. Neither

That was my thought too. I wasn’t as sure of their origin as to name the model, but I was willing to bet that Mercedes was defining “custom” as “finding a matching set at the junkyard.”

I regularly use it with lengthy email conversations, too, as people rarely read a long email thoroughly. It serves as a trigger to hopefully make sure they've actually processed the content. I work in IT with heavy regulatory requirements, so those details matter.

My blood tests come back just fine, thank you very much.

Probably not wearing her seatbelt. That's not the car's fault, although one could argue that you shouldn't be able to shift into drive without your seatbelt buckled.

Can confirm. My parents live 1 mile from a state park. Beautiful park with a gorgeous lake surrounded by nice forrested bluffs. Some decent hiking trails, nice camping, etc. It’s always a busy place in the summer, but it was absolutely bonkers for the 2020 season. Parking lots at the lake filled immediately on opening,

Assuming they have health insurance, that should pay for the care now, and they’ll go after his insurance company or just his parents’ assets in court. The individuals would also likely need to sue for damages to cover other expenses. If it were me, depending on how injured I was, I might have to miss work, hire a

Not quite. They are buying the credits because it is financially beneficial for them to do so, which means removing the option would represent a bigger hit to their bottom line. Whether that hit is enough to motivate them into compliance, I don’t know, but we certainly shouldn’t be offering cheaper options.

If you have a dealer willing to sell you a new Corvette at msrp, just buy the thing and enjoy one of the best preformance bargains out there. Nothing you get for that price is going to give you the same kind of performance. At least not anything with a warranty that isn’t a dedicated track toy.

Then just link your Spotify account to maps or waze and use that. That functionality has been around for a while now

I think Mitsubishi in general has jerky throttles. My mom had the Rav4-sized original Outlander years ago, and I remember that being annoyingly difficult to accelerate smoothly from a stop.

1st Gear: I'm all for stiffer penalties for those who don't meet regulations, but the real issue the Biden administration should be examining in this case is the fact that manufacturers are able to buy their way into compliance at all. Actually hit them with the penalty instead of letting them help Musk cook his

Don't forget the custom headers and full exhaust replacement. I suppose "do a bunch of mods" is technically one step.

Eh, I seem to remember a few blobs in the late 90s/early 00s. And while I wouldn't call it pretty, I don't think it looks terrible with the top down. Top-up, free proportions are a bit off. A lot of stuff from that era has not aged well, but this doesn't seem any worse than bland to me.

“And also, of course, you don’t know what they’re about to say. That’s the problem with cutting the mic or playing the play off music over them, when they may be saving the very poignant thing to say to the end”

I’m with you. The design certainly isn’t anything to get excited about, but I wouldn’t call it offensive, either. It’s just sort of generic and a bit blobby. It was also the first car I ever saw with a convertible hard top. Obviously it wasn’t the first car with that feature, but I did not grow up in a social circle
