Nope. Waaay too likable.
Nope. Waaay too likable.
Also, the Browns may be a dumpster fire (WTF does that make the Cowboys?), but it’s pretty much impossible to imagine Roger Goodell making anything better, anywhere, ever. Except for league earnings, I guess.
I often use semicolons in text messages; sometimes it just feels right.
That may be true, but when you consider which organizations have a reputation for being concerned about what its members think, the military doesn’t exactly leap to the top of the list.
YES! Definitely yes.
US troops were in combat in Korea less than two years (IIRC) after the US military was racially segregated, so there must be instructive parallels to be found there. I’m sure the military was paying very close attention to post-integration unit performance. Also, hasn’t the Israeli military had women in combat roles…
I took BigRedOne’s comment not as an indictment of women’s small-unit behavior, but of the men’s - or, if you like, of those already deployed to the unit who might see women as interlopers. But, I’m a man with a generally pretty low opinion of my fellow men, so I could be way off.
Sensitivity training? This is the US military we’re talking about here. Combat veterans who have fucking earned the right to treatment are still killing themselves because of the “stigma” of weakness and failure associated with PTSD.
This is really the salient point, I think. I’m sure there are people arguing that the media should simply ignore Trump, but I certainly haven’t seen much in the way of that. Most of the discussions I’ve had are with people who are completely stupefied that he has so many devoted followers who don’t care one whit…
It’s not just the South.
Yes! Thank you. This is an important point you’re making: With the exception of wages, by nearly every conceivable measure things are vastly better in America than they were when Obama took office. Unemployment is down, profits are up, the economy has improved and continues to improve (albeit more slowly than most of…
Abdul-Jabbar’s Time column is astoundingly good. It is intelligent, thoughtful, reasoned, literate and deserves to be read in full.
But his friend Ali is A The Black, so he can’t also be A The Muslim.
The school librarian probably makes about $16,000 a year
Touché, sir. Touché.
In all seriousness, did you even read the article? There already is armed security at NFL games. This is not the same thing. If something were to happen inside a stadium what do you think is going to happen when the on-duty security and LEOs respond? An off-duty cop out of uniform holding (or firing) his duty weapon…
It was great. To me, though, this was the really astounding song from that album:
“Crying Browns fan.”
It was ah beeyah! Well, ya doint do thet! Thet’s at-rageous!
That’s fucking excellent gif work, right there.
