This has frustrated me for a long time as well. I have an Elantra GT Sport, and I wanted a manual, but I also wanted the pano roof. You have to get the DCT to get the pano roof in the USA. However, in Canada, they offered the roof, heated steering wheel, and red seat belts with the manual. Hyundai Canada gets better

This is pretty much it.

Hell, look at the Bronco situation. I can live with the four-cylinder but c’mon, taking the fuckin’ Sasquatch package off the table and paywalling the same offroad gear behind the Badlands trim if I want the manual?  Pure bullshit, and I’m glad to see hints they’re walking back from that stance.

This is exactly how my wife ended up with a Veloster. She had two criteria for her car: manual and satellite radio. At the time, the Veloster was one of two that came up with that combo, the other was Mazda 3, but she hates with a passion the tablet on the dash interior design which is common lately.

Latest example, you can get a Mazda 3 with a stick. You can’t get a Mazda 3 Turbo with a stick. My head nearly exploded when I read that a few months ago. Could have been a match made in heaven!

My frustration is that nearly all manufacturers missed the transition from “manuals are for cheap loser cars only” to “enthusiasts with disposable income want manuals in their enthusiast cars.”

It was in all the papers.

Katz’s is good but way overpriced man

I hear that there’s talk of a strike. No science until their demands are met.

And get extra half sour pickles...

As long as The Morning Shift doesn’t adopt a slideshow format, I’m good.

Nah, you can get any HD truck from the low $30s to basically $100K.

because men are very, very fragile snowflakes in this country, that is why. I agree w/you..

A higher quality car means that you’re less likely to buy a new one in five years.

I just bought my first wagon.

What about the car up top is ugly?!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, etc.

It’s like a sedan but more practical without the drawbacks of a crossover. Not a deep concept.

I’m starting to suspect you’re trolling us. You’re trolling, right? The pop-psychology guesses of the victims and the insinuation that going 90+ mph is going to rip a roof off... it can’t be real. Can it?

You sound like you’re very nearly victim-blaming here.. it’s their fault the roof flew off because they were driving fast and/or didn’t pull over when they heard a noise?  Yeah.. no.

“You guys are always complaining about panel gaps; this was the easiest solution.”
