The r8 is a great example. They are reselling around what the c8 is new. It is slower, has some major problems as it ages and is just an older car in general now. Not a chance that doesn’t take a hit in resale.

I feel the c8 has changed that. Shot across the bow of the dominant German companies in that segment. Kills resale of the older German cars in that range as well
I feel like the only real travesty in all of this is still that the Shelby gt500 is auto....
That 1/8" plate is the whole unibody. They could build the uni completely different than convention having the sheathing material that thick, it eliminates the need of more conventional things like rockers or the channel frame connection the a to b to c pillar that intrudes on interior head space. With the folds and…
I mean honestly they look horrible. I think they look even more horrible on that car than standing alone. I think they look the most horrible being matte black on that white soccer wagon.
All 8 phaeton owners are crying....
People are lying to themselves with this.
As a company Chrysler hands down spoiled everything with their trunk lid accessory decisions
Also as you touched perfect merges are the point. If the car doesn’t have the space in front of it to do the merge because it is right to the car in front of it. That means it slows down which slows down the entire chain of cars behind it.
That is a scenario a human brain is good at though. Yes people not paying attention don’t help anything. But processing something ever varying is easier still with a human mind than a computer. We don’t have close to the wifi/Bluetooth tech that all these cars have that can process everything that is happening…
I don't think anyone is thinking of it properly when they think the cars are going to be able to stay tighter together. Each on ramp and off ramp will be a constantly varying differential equation that these cars need to work out to make room without stopping the flow of traffic. I would expect at least a few car…
Working from home via vr is more likely than self driving cars taking off in the way these people have been trying to dream.
Caught me right in the feels
24,000 miles down on a 160,000 mile power train warrantee or till 2024. 6 speed, better torque, better mpg on top of it.
I would think things like this get top management fired eventually.
I was hoping Toyotas next sports car would have been an affordable mid engine car to take over for the Mr. 2....
Not offering a manual option on a car like a gt500 is going to kill Ford not their bottom line.
Well said.
I agree.
So tax people that need to get to work to make money that than gets taxed... That always bothers me, if you are on the road during rush hour not going to work a premium should be paid not the other way around honestly.
