I'm with you completely. I would've put Ginger in the bottom three. She put together the same dress she'd made the entire season for that challenge.

I'm a little confused by Oliver's "eliminating Katya was a glaringly bad decision" comment given the fact that he had absolutely no problem with it back when it actually happened. (http://www.avclub.com/tvclu… )
I'm entirely on board with this write-up. There was a point where I'd have fought for the show to keep going, but it's really time for the Kings to pack it up.
This week's episode was leagues better than last week's. Vikram and I don't seem to want the same things from this series.
Going from 26 to 6 doesn't make any sense but, yeah, burying them on weekend nights certainly didn't help.
I mean, to put that into perspective, there were 26 debates in 2008 and there were originally only going to be 6 this year. For anyone who follows politics, six sounds like a lot, but for the general populace who hardly know what's going on unless they happen to randomly stumble upon one of them by accident, 9 sadly…
"The filmmakers also bequeath to the proceedings an ominous tone rich in portent."
I never said any of that and your tone is exhausting.
The gay community isn't big on Maroon 5 or Levine. We generally think he's an asshole too.
So, I have to wait longer for a series I love and in return I get a musical I'm probably never going to get to see.
1) Voter disenfranchisement/suppression has been rampant this election cycle 2) Closed primaries cut out independents who make up 42% of the populace, including all of those who may not be registered as democrats but generally tend to vote democrat 3) Anyone who voted in a state early on down the line who may have…
I'm in the same position, but there have been some really excellent positive responses from journalists of color that I always go back to when discussing this. The AV Club's own Sonya Saraiya recently wrote a great piece for Salon.
The fact that they so often use her character as a tool through which they mock racism and white ignorance is what sells it for me. There's a purpose, and it fits within the show's major themes.
Raw vote counts mean nothing in regards to who people support.
According to the latest national polling, he's either tied or slightly ahead of Hillary.
Dune, finally. I've re-read the first chapter four times over the past year, but I'm working through it. It's… a lot.
The guy on the panel was basically voicing his frustration over the false narratives that the media has assigned to Bernie, ergo the communism remark. And yes, you can't please everyone, but you also shouldn't baselessly dismiss half of the Democratic party as naive morons via conjecture and insults.
I found the Bernie segment to be lazy and insulting, and often factually inaccurate. She attempted to claim that Bernie supporters are helping to elect Cruz (who I have a hard time believing will get the nomination even if it goes to a brokered convention; if the Republican elites get to pick a nominee, they're going…
Everyone on this show is a blank slate. We know nothing about anyone, and we're supposed to go along with the same "Phil isn't working well with the group" jokes over and over again because… what? They're just that funny? The writers can't think we tune in every week for that.
Which is apparently a large portion of the people here. And the thing is, that would be absolutely okay if the show was funny, and I haven't laughed in weeks.
