Warren Ellis is like Alan Moore and Grant Morrison with more self awareness and less eye roll-inducing pretension.

Thank you. I mean, for all his criticism of Alan Moore’s tendency to make himself smarter than all his characters and use them more as tools of the plot, he’s guilty of the exact same thing a lot of the times.

Very ironic, since a good chunk of Moore’s work is based on existing characters, or obvious pastiches of them. Hell, Watchmen itself is a story about thinly veiled takes on Charlton Comics characters like The Question. And it was originally about those characters but they had to change it.

Kind of sad. She was a legitimately cool mascot.

Man, just when we get good stuff in the form of Netflix Castlevania and Detective Pikachu, Sonic’s movie has to set video game adaptations back a decade.

I agree. Decent actress, but she is not Lois Lane. Doesn’t have the hair, or the personality. Lois Lane is a tough, outspoken, smart ass reporter, while her portrayal was more soft-spoken and demure (though she wasn’t useless). I don’t think it’s her fault though. More the screenwriters.

I just noticed the heroine in the thumbnail has two barely noticeable scars around her lips. Lemme guess, is that why she wears the scarf? Because she’s so “hideous”? Ugh. If I could roll my eyes through text, I would. Right now I just don’t have access to emoticons (I’m on my laptop).

Don’t forget Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Fant4stic. Fuck all of those movies. They’re the reason the MCU has yet to feature these characters besides Spider-Man, despite being in it’s third phase.

Better yet, just wait for it to come out on Netflix, watch the first 10 or 15 minutes, then either fall asleep or turn it off.
