Other than Stephen Colbert, John Oliver has had the most success by far.

At the very least, I wonder if he’s considered making HxH a monthly series instead of a weekly one. That would be better than forcing himself to grind through a weekly schedule.
That’s just your typical anime protagonist. Completely uninterested in romance or sex, to an almost implausible extent.
I still remember being blown away by Kilik from Soul Eater, and he’s a very minor character. Just because back then it was a revelation to have a positive, non-stereotypical black character in an anime (still kinda is, sadly, but it’s gotten a lot better since then).
As a Black anime fan who was already super into Tokyo Revengers before the dub started, finding out that Takemitchy would be voiced by a black actor really meant something to me.
What really gets me is the double standard of people having a problem with black actors voicing anime characters yet not having any problems with white actors voicing anime characters. Cause most of those characters aren’t white, they’re Japanese. That goes to show you what these haters are really mad about.
Damn, Persona 6's soundtrack about to be trash.
Kraven kills and eats Spider-Man
I will note that a zombie story where everything looks hopeful but has the rug pulled out at the last moment is very on brand with the genre.
Yeah, the MCU just doesn’t have as big and wacky a world as the comics (not it’s fault but still). I’d love to see them go outside the MCU (like What-If episodes about Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man), but I know that won’t happen. Even though Tobey’s Spidey has more going for him in terms of pivotal events. Holland’s Spidey…
I just miss the days when all you needed was a console and a physical copy of the game itself. Memory cards weren’t such a big issue when all you needed them for was a save state.
Luca looked like Aardman animation (but CG).
And then you have DreamWorks who were briefly great during the early 2010s with stuff like Kung Fu Panda and Dragons, then went back to putting out mediocre films again.
These days delinquents and gangs are probably more likely to be sporting urban streetwear/”hip hop” clothing. Hip hop being in quotes because it’s usually inspired/parallel to western fashion rather than being taken whole cloth.
Looks pretty accurate.
Believe it or not, J.M. Barrie actually wanted Captain Hook played by a woman. Specifically the one who played Mrs. Darling in the same play!
So I guess just fuck Howard then.
Yeah, the early 2000s was a very different time, as far as the way gay people were viewed and treated.
I’m black and I was shook when I first realized that even when I created characters they were white by default.
And even Marvel and DC started doing this a full decade ago with their film and TV adaptations, and the Ultimate Universe.
