I love the MCU, and even I have to agree. Occasionally they’ll put out something that’s A+ work (like the first Avengers movie, or Winter Soldier, or Spider-Man Homecoming), and rarely they might churn out crap (like Thor 2 or Iron Man 3), but for the most part, the MCU as a whole is a solid B+ franchise. As someone I

On that note, I’m glad someone finally articulated my feelings on Guillermo Del Toro.

For me it’s Makoto Shinkai. Gorgeously animated, but writing wise, his films are serviceable but not amazing. He just kinda writes the same love story over and over again, and I find most of his work a little boring and slow (though Your Name was enjoyable). Definitely a B director.

From what I’ve seen of his work, Brian K. Vaughn is definitely a B+ comic book writer.

I’d say Stevie Wonder is probably one of the few artists to remain consistently at an A/A+throughout most of his career.

They’re mostly B or B+, but every now and then you get an A or A+ film (like the first Avengers movie, or Winter Soldier, or Spider-Man Homecoming).

While I do like some of his films, I also think Christopher Nolan’s work is kind of pretentious and, like you said, self serious.

Link to the Past hasn’t aged well. While certainly charming, it just feels kind of small and empty, and has a workmanlike structure compared to later games. That said, it’s aged a hell of a lot better than the first two games in the series. Though a lot of NES games haven’t aged all that well for the most part (except

THANK YOU.

It’s very much an early-2000s superhero movie.

I think most network dramas (like Castle or any of the Shonda Rhimes programs) are usually a B+ or lower.

To be honest, I think most entertainment is a B+ or less. The truly great, standout stuff is usually anywhere between an A- or an A+

I’d say Hellboy 2 is more of a solid B, Hellboy 1 is a B+ (I like it better for some reason), Pan’s Labyrinth is an A+, and Shape of Water is an A-.

I agree. His movies are like fantasy worlds constructed by a machine. Whimsical and odd, yet everything feels so rigid and the characters so robotic.

One last thing about Tom Cruise. His movies are either reliably entertaining, mediocre, or outright crap.

To be fair, every male in that family seems to be suffering from male pattern baldness.

Will. Fucking. Smith. Yeah, I said it.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

Oh no, what did Shania Twain do?

White people in America think they own the world. They think they can take anything, and then act surprised when people are critical if not angry about it.
