I suppose someone on YouTube could buy it, figure out how to cram even more air and fuel into the cylinders and seriously risk their life going for some amphibious vehicle speed records. If they crash and live they'd get tons of views.

How does it deal with getting the shit kicked out of it while you get out from under the vehicle? That's got to account for half of the things I misplace.

Oh yeah, usually we go to artists to get honest criticism of themselves and others in an industry rife with bullshit. Wait. No we don't. Do you believe the blurbs on book covers too?

The amplification by news outlets with an agenda is different and I guess CRT makes it easier for the opposition to demonize the ideas just by its very subject. Those other “dangerous” ideas were kind of vague and took extra steps to link to a traditional bogeyman like Jews or Communists. The, to the conservatives, “s Read more

So a lot of conservative reaction to CRT is basically the same as earlier criticisms of academic theories like secular humanism, logical positivism, postmodernism and deconstructionism, either deep misunderstandings or bad faith attacks about how these ideas will undermine democracy, Christianity, capitalism or Read more

Once, back in the days of coolant fans running directly off the engine sometimes without even a shroud, my Dad and I were visiting my uncle. As we went to leave he remarked that he hadn’t seen his cat in a while so we made sure he hadn’t hopped in the back, as had happened before. He was MIA so my uncle said his Read more

I don’t think it’s always idiocy that motivates poor whites to obey the upper class, sometimes the relationship is like an abused spouse. They know the rich are going to fuck them one way or another but the poor get mad when someone pisses the rich off because the poor know that means they’ll get it even worse. Read more

I enjoyed the game but not nearly this much. Of course my favorite part was setting up all the toxins and mutations so that the moment someone so much as scratched my Geralt he would start becoming an unstoppable rage monster. I guess a lot of people enjoyed the story that I barely noticed, and enough for Netflix to Read more

What if Miyazaki’s doubling down? We expect Mimics so maybe we’ll carefully shatter pots around one pot that looks different, which we suspect is a goblin. Having worked our way around the suspicious pot we grab our loot and go. The second we turn around the pot grows arms and legs, stands up and starts creeping after Read more

I’m wondering how well Dennis will do playing Kirkham. That guy’s almost as weird as Joe Exotic. He used to work with Bill O’Reilly on a news entertainment show called Inside Edition in the 80s and early 90s. He got shot out of a cannon, wrestled an alligator, all types of crazy stuff. Turned out he was smoking crack Read more

I was hoping you smash pots for items and they’re Mimic equivalents. Maybe your weapon crashes off of them then they stuff you down the hole and you’re insta-poisoned or something.

I looked him up and he was a Democrat who ran for the nomination against the other West Virginia Senator, Capito. So not really analogous to the situation I described where an independent candidate runs as an independent and no Democrat runs at all. I don’t think it’s likely or even workable but it’s the only Read more

I think other than Manchin the best the Dems could hope for would be a third-party/independent candidate, an economic populist and social liberal who caucuses with the Democrats much of the time. That person would have a better chance of winning than a standard Democrat without Manchin's background or stances.

Is Big Wood paying you for these ideas? The stuff is expensive enough as it is and here you are casually suggesting we use all of our trees as as gravitational counterweight, create a mountain out of them or use all of the lumber in the country to build a lever. Read more

From glancing over the comments some people think that changing the front clip is a big deal rather than something that happens pretty frequently at most automakers. It looks worse in my opinion. I think they look like a car wearing a mask so I'll probably always associate them with the pandemic.
