Chrono Cross is a great game and deserves an HD remake (or even just a port to modern consoles.) The real treasure, though, is the soundtrack, worth $50 on its own. If you don’t think this live performance is amazing, you are wrong and you have bad opinions:
Nice analysis. But I think you’re extending the movies a tad too much credit and reading in some pathos where there wasn’t much there. The elements of those ideas definitely exist, but not very consistently. Yoda says “wars do not make one great”, but when Luke blows up the Death Star it’s very obviously portrayed as…
Well, fair. But then it’s a bit disingenuous to portray Obi-Wan, Yoda et al as such wise beings later on and forget that they, ya know, killed lots of dudes in meaningless wars. Basically, the Jedi are only peace-loving beings when the mystical music plays. As soon as the action themes start up, they love maimin’ and…
To be fair, it’s not they were really much for “peace keeping” in the movies either. Like, they had no problems killing lots of dudes and suppressing independence movements.
I assume it’s only about the Super Nintendo. None of this 3D nonsense. Bring us back to 1991!
“[It’s] the games, too,” said a protester named James Incremona. “They announced Diablo Immortal. I don’t play mobile games. What are they thinking?”
Like the idea, but the execution wasn’t that funny to me. Would’ve been funnier if he made some effort to understand and then failed spectactularly. Like this dude:
Dithyrambic huh? Welp, I learned a new word today!
Not a fan of Blizzard’s actions at all. But, I do feel bad for their employees now. The Internet is honestly a really scary thing when it gets this angry. Love all the Mei fan art etc., but I have to imagine they’re also dealing with death threats, doxxing and all else that comes with millions of people simultaneously…
People will be watching these protests. If you want to be effective, it should be in good faith - non-gamers especially will be curious whether this is really meaningful or if it’s just another horseshit gamergate blowup over nothing.
A friend of mine would just spam the A button for names so he could get on with the game. A side effect is then every character in the game was constantly screaming. AAAAAAAAA, we need your help!
That’s a really bad analogy. It doesn’t make sense to protest Blizzard by shouting anti-Trump slogans. It makes perfect sense to protest against the treatment of HK given the context. BlizzCon is a fundamentally pro-Blizzard event, and Blizzard has demeaned itself, so a protest is highly appropriate.
May not make a difference ultimately. But it still matters to me, and Blizzard does think about their own PR. If you’re like me you may want to delete your account: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/2659
Totally agree. I feel like the PS5 will just encourage devs to cram in more graphical detail to justify the PS5, when I just want them to spend more time making their game compelling. The PS4 already looks great! I don’t need to have more and more individually rendered hairs on Kratos’s beard.
Ah, I’m relieved it survived. From the description I thought you had accidentally took its head off with the bowl! Garter snakes completely harmless. Garter snakes are our friends.
Highly entertaining review. Those first two paragraphs are *mwah* perfect. It’s a universal truth that geese are a) dickheads at all times and b) have no fear whatsoever.
Nah. Even if you have $100k in savings, you still count the thousands. You have to be a lot richer for $1k to not be noticeable.
I cannot disagree with your #1. But, Fahey, what was the delicious beverage?? Don’t leave us hanging!
Thank you for saying this. I thought I was the only one. It just seems so brash and out-of-place.
