BMW has had the “radio”, or more accurately, audio-system based sounds for some time. At least since the E60 generation 5-series, which was introduced for model year 2004. BMW was quite proud of the accomplishment, even had a cool video of the composer building the sounds. Wish I could find it.

Long term misuse of a word, especially for marketing purposes, is a common way for words to lose their meaning and create a new meaning. The New York Times noted the shift a few years ago. Link to NYT

You might want to read the educational series that starts with the book I need a NEW BUTT! by Dawn McMillan. Teaser: “A young boy suddenly notices a big problem — his butt has a huge crack! So he sets off to find a new one.”

The comparing to a size class down is a big pet peeve of mine. For the purpose of considering handling and sportiness, it probably works in the crossover’s favor. I just think it is crazy that people are comfortable paying the same price for the size class smaller vehicle, as the sedan that likely performs better.

Are you seriously judging crossovers based on your experience with one of, if not the worst, crossover on the market?

The Cayenne had LATCH anchors in the front passenger seat, until recently, in multiple markets. The owners manual even has the airbag deactivation procedure outlined for use with a car seat, where allowed.

And as a result, the city center is dying. The people and the business Es they frequented leave the city center, and the big stores on the outskirts of town prosper instead.

Anyone ever talk about the Caprice? Outside of SOCdriver, I have not heard anything about them. I just assumed they were only ever purchased by departments trying to be different, with too much money. The MSP testimg did not seem to give it much love.

That, coupled with scheduling the press conference for so far in the future that it might not ever happen, definitely creates some questions.

They have too many “hip” names for their engines. Between Ecotec, Ecoboost, and the Ecosport, it gets pretty weird. I liked the names derived from power and strength, even where development occurs. Definitely cooler words.

That engine was not a Powerstroke or diesel, it was the gas Triton V10. Crazy how many churches had them in 15-passenger vans when I was growing up.

Appears he owns/operates a left-wing/liberal tabloid site and Facebook page too.

Facebook Marketplace would be ever so slightly better if you could see only private party listings. But since Facebook is openly commercial, the only option is to see only dealer listings.

Impressive, that the dealers are actually a regulated entity, and are in violation of federal law when they modify the vehicle with these devices.

For some reason, I thought that the GM version was only a low speed design, so it only did the opposite direction movement, to reduce the turning radius. Good to know it also provided the high-speed stability benefits too.

Nice. All of the regular car review sites I read seemed to say what I expected: unrefined noise and runs out of power early.

Technically, the Platinum is the top of the heap, but I think it might have come with halogens too. Regardless, the halogens are much better than the LED headlights normally pushed by Toyota.

I was hoping someone had already pointed that out. The 2020 Highlander Hybrid really got its big selling point stripped. Originally, it was bigger-engine power with smaller-engine MPG. Now it is just tiny engine with high MPG for class.

What I find funny is that by saying she admitted to theft, if she really did not admit to theft, Starbucks may have made itself liable for defamation.

This one was likely someone’s proud special order. It seems to have a lot of options: the MagneRide adjustable suspension, CD and cassette player, and the upgraded power seats. I bet it has the passive entry system too, which I am pretty sure was the first vehicle with passive entry.
