I’m pretty sure I see glass behind the C-pillar. It’s either a Tahoe or Yukon, I believe.

Having experience with those lights, if you can’t see them - or the people illuminated by them - you maybe shouldn’t be driving. They aren't subtle.
especially considering the angle the car wouldn’t be lightning the vest anyway, the driver just wasn’t looking where the car was pointing
Very true. That was my first thought as well, but the more I look at the way the front clip of the SUV comes into frame the more I don’t think the truck was sliding. It still may have been, but I don’t think it was.
I’ve also commented that after an accident, especially impact accidents, the individual is NOT in a position to evaluate their own health. I’ve experienced this myself with bicycle accidents. Shock is not always your friend, as it takes a chunk of your brain and nervous system off-line.
If a reporter doesn’t have a great poker face, they won’t make it in the career. “Be able to witness and relay horrific events without adding emotion to those events” is kind of an important skill, even if it makes them seem like a robot.
having worked ENG and currently work in production...no. These lights are extremely noticeable and if nothing else the actual bloom from the light would have been very visible. The driver wasn’t paying attention, plain and simple.
After watching the video, she disobeyed one of the first rules of grizzled cop movies. Never go on an assignment when you've got 1 week left on the job!
Missed opportunity
“She also appeared to be reporting from the side of the road without any reflective clothing.”
Careful about biases though. I’m guessing you are in the pretty safe life camp (me too). Decent neighbourhood , more car than public transit, etc etc.
Lady feels threatened by the guy who’s not even on her premises. She’s legally entitled to “stand her ground” and “defend herself” from the guy in the road waiting with other witnesses - the guy who is not even posing an immediate threat. She’s entitled by the state of Florida to use deadly force on a guy who’s in…
Sounds like the pregnant lady was off her rocker. She did a hit and run and then pointed a gun at at a guy who hadn’t even entered her yard.
To be fair, they DID look better that way. Still shit, but slightly better looking shit.
Once again, a Torch article results in me googling something that would have never otherwise crossed my mind: 1984 Chrysler New Yorker interior.
They’re not stripped down. If they were they’d be bare chassis’. These things still have the suspension, the drivetrains, and even the damn seats still covered in plastic. They removed the body panels since those are FRP and plastic and would be easiest to dispose of, and are sending the rest of the cars to be cubed.
Yes. It’s a confusing, brightly-lit circus. They pulled all of the old-school tactics, like “I’ll get fired if I don’t have my manager speak to you.”
Based on my experience with Kia dealers, my reaction is.
My local Kia dealership frequently runs a BOGO scheme. “buy a new Kia, get a new Kia for free (another dealer offers the second Kia for $1.00. No joke.).
