The Kotaku of now isn’t even the Kotaku of a year ago. Mr Nick Denton saw to that, drove out anyone who wanted to write anything more than SEO juice.

Haha James and Maso have brought so much joy into my life.

I’m convinced that the editors of the AV Club sincerely have zero taste based on AAF’s cover of Smooth Criminal being on this list.

50 bucks that in Japanese it was the Family Restroom.

In the Harper’s Bazaar article, it was stated that she is supporting the strike and is not discussing any of her past or present work in any specific detail. It was also for Harper’s Bazaar UK (where the unions aren’t on strike).

I loved the building hilarity of the vampires continuing to make everything worse every time they tried to fix what they thought was the previous calamity though it does make me wonder how our beloved idiots did manage to survive this long. Hypnosis, which is a running undercurrent of the season, can only get you so

There are actual problems with this show. There are actual things that a skilled critic could address. There are actual plot issues, pace issues, dialogue issues, theme issues.
Which makes it all the more infuriating when Barsanti ignores them to make complaints that demonstrate his complete lack of media literacy:

I’m not loving this show either. It’s just... flat. It also doesn’t have the pacing and plot tightness required of a spy-thriller or show that revolves around the insidious concept of people being able to be replaced. Frankly, Gravik’s plans have all been pretty uncreative, haphazard and dumb. Dude has skrull allies

Speaking of useless technological developments, Fury escapes Russia using a fake face mask. Sonya looks at it and goes, “A billion dollars of research and development, and all the widow’s veil can do is cloak your face?” Even in the MCU, spending all that money for this shit seems dumb.”

John Wick's wife dying had nothing to do with anything, she died of cancer before the movie even started. John Wick's dog was fridged though, he was blatantly killed off to give John motivation for a revenge spree. I demand an article coming out against the fridging of John Wick's dog!

To this day there is no universally agreed upon definition for fridging, it’s just one of those things you know when you see it

A dead parent within an origin story is not fridging. Heroes have been orphaned from the beginning of fiction; that’s not what this discussion is about. Dead parents are kind of equally spread across genders, and that was not the phenomenon that Simone was describing.

The lines from Sephiroth in the footage seem to be aimed at Cloud, talking about an unnamed “she” that can mess with your mind or take the form of those you know or love.

The original Three Stooges were Orthodox Jews. Can we work that in somehow?
You numbskulls?!

“I am the ghost of Christmas past: I see you eating Chinese food and going out for a movie; actually that’s pretty much what the other two ghosts see as well”.

Barsanti is like the bad thinking guy of metaphors. Why even reference a famous trio if there’s not three things haunting him? He’d have been better off beginning with: A SPECTRE haunts David Zaslav, the spectre of university graduates.

There’s actually being several rounds of people being petty back and forth about this.  When Kotaku wrote an article encouraging people to pirate Metroid Dread, Nintendo blacklisted them and no longer sends them advance review copies of games.  People at Kotaku are upset about this, and rather than trying to smooth

It’s weird, because I agree with you so much regarding the generally quality of reviews on this site these days, and yet your comment is posted under one of the few critics here who actually manages to be, dare I say, critical in their analysis? Almost as if you’re angry at them not for the quality of their work, but

The only thing that’s lost its way here is the quality of the reviewers on this site. Truly the bottom of the barrel here.
