There are valid reasons to change cars, like “I have a full size pickup that I don’t need and which gets crap mileage, so I’m trading it in for a CR-V.” but the idea of trading a Kia with a warranty for an older BMW without one says “I have this objectively good car that’s not flash enough for me, so I want one that’s

Guys we know you are broke. We get it. There has to be a funding source. I literally can’t take a single more “How I bought a car for $5" “How I kept a cheap car going” “My adventures in $100 car” story. We are car guys/gals not junk car people. We are at peak petrol car; there won’t be another era when we can share

Same as last year: Take my Diva to her home land. I have driven over 3000 km this year, but for several reasons, we didn’t make it there. One time, we were all set up but it rained cats and dogs all over the north of Italy. Right now, the engine is fully disassembled but once she is back up running and the weather is

I bought a 2003 Avalanche 5 1/2 years ago as my winter (my daily driver does not see salt), camping, haul anything anywhere vehicle. This thing truly is the Swiss Army Knife of automobiles. I have used it in every configuration imaginable and bought s Snug top for when I need a larger enclosed space. The salt and

Don’t forget rotopax, RTTs, maxtrax, ARB fridges, maybe a pullout grill, and all that other stuff that’s mounted up but only used once a year.

Prediction - these absolutely print money for FCA.

No one is buying this as a work truck.

Why would they make it look different than the Wrangler? That’d be insane.

When gas then goes to $7.50/gallon, watch people flock to EVs regardless of subsidies.”

Anecdotal, of course, but I have three friends that are holding out on purchasing their next trucks because they want to buy this. One has an 04 chevy heavy half, one has a 2012 Tundra, the other has a Tacoma. All three of which are genuinely excited about this.

I second the GMT800 Suburban. I bought one recently for $2000 to tow my boat. It’s ugly and rusty, but it runs well, 4wd works (crucial for steep launch ramps) and it gets as good of fuel economy towing my 6,000lb boat and trailer as my currently-incapacitated LX450 does unladen.  Once I get the LX back running, I may

People just hate change. You’ll probably love it in 4 years.

People have been saying these new cars are disposable every year since the first model upgrade has ever happened.

Friend of mine just got to live out one of my bucket list items recently.

I just hope people start developing ways to deactivate this equipment. If I crack a bumper and my car has 100k, I’d be inclined to just lose the technology rather than pay to fix it

It’s really unacceptable that any car doesn’t offer CarPlay/Android in 2018. Even the fact that this literally free program isn’t in the base CX5 is offensive.

LOL - the original GTO was literally a LeMans with a big engine and no aggressive styling. True, it changed it later iterations with scoops and decals, but what was Pontiac routinely derided for in the years before the 2004 GTO came out?

Frankly, I wouldn’t even consider refreshing it without putting another 100k on it first, which, at only $6,000, you could scrap it and call it a day after that!

...? 12 year old GM product with many miles? How much do you know about the LS series engine? I mean no offense, but with proper oil changes these things can go for a LONG damn time. My cousin Amanda has a 5.3 with 310k and it runs like a top.
