Good idea. We have similar solutions around the northeast.  They’re called covered bridges.

If you click the link to Bloomberg you can see one of them.

I would go one step further and argue that 95% of consumers who buy a SUVs with off-road capabilities (4runner, jeep, landcruiser, RR, etc.) are posers.

I am on the UK Jimny waiting-list. I signed up with the local dealer and don’t know if that counts towards national totals.

yes, of course you could. The AJV8 is still a phenomenally reliable motor — the reason you see so many 10+ year old LR3s running around is because they ran this motor too. The move to AJs marked a sea-change in Rover reliability. ZFs are stout transmissions as well. The only thing that was expensive to fix in this

Normally I would give NP for this ... ok hear me out. If its made it this far it, more than likely, has been very well maintained and I’m of the mind that a car over 180k is a better bet than a car with 100k, because maintenance. But then I saw the CL ad in all CAPS and I went CP.

I’m surprised Jalopnik didn’t know about it. It’s hardly a secret and has been roaming around the Midlands for ages.

I know it’s the Defender 90 mule, I have no idea about the back doors.

I get an honest 16/23 in my 2017 Sierra w/ the 5.3.

4th: I’ll never understand the stock market. So Ford:

Neutral:

On this very day in an alternate universe Nissan announced the 2019 XTerra for sale in the US with various trim levels from base 4cyl for the school run to Bronco fighting spec. Justin T Westbrook wrote an article titled ‘yet another SUV we dont need’. Contained within was a bitching session about how SUVs were taking

So even though gas mileage is a big part of the appeal of a car, PLEASE american, get the car you actually NEED and rent/borrow the large cars/suvs/trucks when you need them 2 times a year. Youll help the environment holistically, not just on MPG.

Ford, would you please make a factory 4x4 version of this!!!?!

The King of “using old popular vehicle names to create a shittier modern version.”

Sooo, good enough to hunt Porsches, but also as expensive as one so not that impressive?

5000lbs without breaking a sweat. I’ve towed it’s 7k limit a few times with a full bed and it still had plenty of power left (brakes weren’t over-worked either, and the automatic engine braking in trailer mode helps a lot)

got one can confirm. only complaint I have is the transmission seems a bit finicky. Bought it new at the end of 2013 and it just broke 100k. It gets the job done. but nothing can replace my 1 ton w/utility bed to get hard work/towing done.
