I wish I was more aware of this custom. The sand where I’m from is VERY soft sugar sand, so just driving something not 4wd without my tires aired down on the beach was a surreal experience.
Eh, not really abuse but I’m sure it didn’t help the paint. Last month I was in Corpus Christi, took my brand new rental 300C on the beach at Padre Island.
30/35 or 30/44 in the TJ; unless you got a Rubicon which was 44/44.
Wrong-o. The JK44s are MASSIVE. Larger R&P than a standard 44. The LP44 in the front of the TJ Rubicon was a 44 center section and 30 outers.
This will be cooler in 20 years with 60s and 37s under it.
Please show everyone else on Jalopnik how to take pictures, please.
Ok, I’m picking up what you’re putting down.
Yea, a 1/2 sure can do it. BUT if you are buying something literally for one purpose, and that purpose is towing, I would not be buying a 1/2 ton. Unless I’m towing dirt bikes or something.
A dually is overkill for this, but a F250 or 2500 isn’t.
If anyone is buying a vehicle and its ONLY purpose was to tow, buying a 1/2 ton is stupid. 3/4 ton gas trucks are similarly priced.
Chevy 2500 6.0 gas.
H2 was like $55k when it came out, it was more like a G-Wagen as far as status goes at the time.
Yea, but we’re talking about now, now. The FJ was a good idea at the wrong time.
Huh, I thought it was a more popular term than google says it is. Basically, the JK and the Prius are two vehicles that are driven by both lower and higher income people. Go out to the hamptons and it isn’t uncommon to see a Prius and a S Class in the same driveway.
LOL it is literally it’s own class of vehicle without competition. How could it now sell well? The Wrangler and the Prius are the only two ‘income agnostic’ vehicles that exist.
You mean, like CCC does in NYC? But you have to be wealthy by NYC standards to afford that shit though.
12 bolt, 5 lug axles eh? Hweird.
A N A L O G
Yea, I remember that as well. I think it was old Mobile 1 or something.
