At least you could do burnouts. Damn Sundance couldn’t even spin a tire in the rain.

Touché.

I had a ‘92 Sundance with the 86hp TBI Mitsu 4 banger. I also test drove a Mazda2 when they first came out. The 2 is an apollo rocket compared to that Sundance.

This video is actually older than Jalopnik. Older than YouTube I think too.

Really? I’ve never heard of that, but it does make sense. My only issue with my 9100s was that the nickel plating did fuck all against salt on the roads and they looked like shit after one winter.

Damn

Custom-valved (well, they all are custom I guess) Bilstein 9100s, 11" 2.5s up front & 13" 2.0s for the rear. If I was to do it again, I’d go Fox. At the time this dude Joel was working for Bixstein’s off-road racing department and was “the” guy for Jeepspeed and Ultra4 stuff.

Meh, good shocks cost money. In this case, they come with the truck instead of me buying them from the aftermarket. I spend $1100 on JUST shocks when I was building my Cherokee a few years ago.

Dude, I think it’s a GREAT platform.

Expedition Portal put it at 30+ MPG for extended highway travel.

It’s going to be my everything. DD, toy, hauler, etc. Not planning on rock crawling the shit out of it, but I will be doing trails in and around the northeast, I have a cross country trip (with Moab, passes in Colorado, trails in AZ, NM, etc) all planned for summer 2018. Also I go on the beach a lot all summer, and

I’m probably buying this time next year, anyway. But I’m sorry you’ve had a bad experience? If I had to fly across the country for the exact truck I wanted I’d be ok with that. I just searched, and there’s a cyber gray Z71 crew cab diesel local to me.

I thought long and hard about this as well. $45k (which this truck will definitely ask for) can get you a 2500HD, gasser. 75% of what this truck will do for me is a 45-50 mile round trip commute. 16 MPG vs 30 MPG is an absolute no brainer. The “lifestyle” use of this truck that I will use will mean I’m driving 4-6

I already gave Chevy my email and will test drive the first four door diesel they get in.

YES. When can I order one??????

I would love a 130, too.

Ehhh, its in nice shape (but no underside pictures...) but its still a ROW truck for over $10k. There’s a LHD SIIa 88 (albeit, not in as nice of shape) for sale a block from me for $8,500 OBO. I would have bought it already but I’m closing on a house in like a week.

Don’t worry, it will have angry eyes in no time.

Yea, D30s bend pretty damn easy. Ask me how I know.
