No one understands this. People on the internet BEG for baby pickups and wax ecstatic about old full sizes but have never been in them. Fucking rattle traps they all were.

Those 3V V10s are awesome motors.
A thing of beauty.
Yea, I’ve driven and ridden in S10s and Nissan hardbody pickups that were regular cabs. They make Miatas look large.
I’m talking about buying Accords or F150s built by American workers. I don’t see any negative in that.
This. But if don’t want to buy a new Volvo because you want to support American jobs and manufacturing, that is a different (and much more agreeable) take.
No, what I have is actually the norm.
So you have gotten your more expensive, higher mileage truck towed more than I have gotten my truck towed.
In my experience, most of the cut wires on the early XJs were like that from the factory. They just, ended. And that fan switch melting is because of a bad blower motor resistor, underneath the passenger side kick panel.
True. The million mile thing is great on paper, but you’re rebuilding the entire car a couple of times by then. Doesn’t matter if its a Toyota, F150, or Honda Civic.
Yea, they have weak points for sure and it shows what happens when they’re neglected.
Mine didn’t start once. I was in the parking lot ready to leave work. Cranked, cranked, cranked, didn’t turn over.
Mine was: original owner, new water pump, thermostat, belt. Rear windows occasionally don’t work, 118k miles, $2200.
Oh, I agree
It’s 1/4 of the price.
Pretty much on par with truck V8s of that era.
What was that? I couldn’t hear you over the perfectly purring Rover V8 in my only vehicle; a ‘95 Disco.

Have you seen ads for LC80 Land Cruisers?
Oh man I’d love them to beat Ford to the punch and bring the BT50 over here.
