They’re still here, they drive diesels, Jeeps, or exotics now though. Most of the guys at car shows I’ve seen in the past couple years are pretty great. The Jeep/beat to shit truck scene here is fucking full of jagaloons.

Seriously. This is all regurgitated forum BS.

Yea they are something to look at for sure. There’s a guy by me with one, haven’t had the chance to talk to him about it unfortunately. I see him on the water a lot.

Kings Park bluff. Thanks man.

I’ve been posting about my Chris Craft refurb, it got a few stars. I’m a recent boater, it’s been an enjoying alternative to cars for the moment.

Thats not the point. But yea.

Low range, watered down traction control. Aussie models get lockers, trick suspension and “terrain select” stuffs. Big disappointment IMHO.

Yea, my buddy is a service manager for BMW. The repair bills I see go through there are insane.

A 2001 is not new, and Saturn never was on the cutting edge of tech...

Wat

Designed to last longer, definitely. Designed to be serviceable? Absolutely not.

Oh ya, diesel gets great mileage. My buddy has a stock 3rd gen stick cummins that gets low 20s. A fullsize diesel is probably out of my price range though. But who am I kidding? I’ll buy another 20 year old weird mobile before buying a new truck.

I mean, I would. If I can get 21 MPG out of a V8 F250 (unrealistic, obv) for $30k why would I buy a Colorado that gets 22MPG for $35k? If I’m buying a full-size, I’m getting a full-size. No F150 or 1500s for me. Still waiting for the Ranger and a redesigned Frontier....

My MK6 Golf had that too

This is literally the worst part of this site and others like it. Driving up used car values.

A bunch of cars stored in A/C under glass? Welcome to the Gold Coast of LI. Good read, agree with some, disagree with some. I actually think there are some cars that deserve this treatment. There are some cars out there that are 1 of a few, and should be treated as museum pieces.

Going to assume everything came from Malaysia from the Chinese BJ2500 and 4000 (2.5 and 4.0) production after the Chrysler buyout. It kept going through BeijingBenz for a while. It was also known as the BAW (Beijing Auto Works) Qishi. Putting the 2500 grill on XJs was a quick fad in the XJ world around 08-09.

Yea, it’s just the 44As that had c-clips. Any other 44 from the beginning of time has never had ‘em. Fun fact... the 35 spline D60 I ran in the rear of my XJ was c-clip’d.

D44s are semi-float...

Nope, the original RRS was always lower end. However, you could price a RRS to be more expensive than stripped down (if thats a thing, lol) full size RR. The supercharged motor was available on both. The RRS up until 2011 was built on the LR3/4 platform, now it is built on a version of the full size RR frame.
