I love many things about Arrested Development, but they got a lot of mileage out of the “women we consider ugly are disgusting and barely human” trope. It makes it hard to rewatch.

That’s why I have trouble empathizing. If you’re angry that your supposed niceness isn’t getting you laid, you are not a nice person. If you feel to repeatedly announce what a nice person you are, you are almost certainly not a nice person.
