I’m not sure what’s tripping you up. Both the selections you cite draw to one conclusion: ST has steering feel. Other trims do not.
But the dealer didn’t give you a better deal, Mazda gave you a rebate. If you bought one of those Mazdas from a different store you would have still gotten the same rebate.
