We put in an EV9 ‘reservation’ (a term being used very loosely here because you’re not really reserving anything) because we figured why not. We already have an R1S preorder with pre-increase pricing. Started getting lots of calls from the dealer and then they said it would come with a $7500 markup. We immediately

Unrelated but on their reservation page FAQs they refer to themselves as FCA. Didn’t that officially go away when they became Stellantis? Or are they keeping it old school to go with the car?

You left out the best part, when he said “I’m gonna have to pull back to the gate and everybody’s gonna have to get off” 😂 I know this is juvenile but it made me laugh given the situation. I bet he wishes he’s used a different choice of words

Yea this article mentions other reasons for why this didn’t sell in the US:

As long as it also addresses the huge number of idiots who are looking at their phones while driving.

Ha, you read my mind. At first my OCD flared up. Then after I took a breath I looked closer and thought well okay maybe they get a pass because of where the oil cap is.

Ha just re-read my comment days later and I wish I hadn’t missed that typo!

Justin - I will always remember during the pandemic trivia nights that there was a question about the first car James Bond ever drove. I had recently watched the movie and remembered it was a Sunbeam Alpine. But NO, you were quick to point out that he drove a 1957 Chevy before that, even though it wasn’t technically a

A semi-similar story of being picked up from school in an 80s Eurocar, though not quite as out there as yours. My dad, coming of age in the 60s, was naturally into muscle cars of the 60s and the “57 Chevy” era. He also was oddly into the E28 5 series which is what my mom drove from the time I was born until I was 8.

LOL

As a fellow E39 owner, the difference is that the trim falling off of the tailgate handle doesn’t affect operation, it’s just a bit unsightly.

In seriousness though, you can’t go wrong with a deep green paint and warp brown interior. That’s my favorite of these four limited editions

Passat Cross Sport! lol

I know exactly what color you’re talking about and it always reminded me of the watermelon Jelly Belly jelly bean

I had (and still have) by Beetle Adventure Racing game for N64 - I was the only one I knew who had it and if I recall I bought it because it was less expensive than other similar games.

I was wondering where the M550i touring went on their list of models =(

That is... crazy. Come to think of it do they do this for vehicles produced in South Carolina?

Oxford Green 540i touring... yes please
