Huh? A motor for the front wheels is not required to recapture the energy generated by those front wheels. For example - see all Model S which were RWD before the dual motor version came available late 2014.
It’s interesting that the headrests are removed - I guess they’re more for support for rear-end collisions, but it seems that they would want to include them even for frontal crash tests. Hmm
At least Volvo will sell you a normal wagon. It’s irritating that the allroad is already more expensive than a plain-ol A4 Avant would be, then they charge you extra if you want the plastic cladding painted in body color (like this one has) to make it look more like a normal wagon.
May I ask where you moved to? I live in (and was raised in) Stockton. I like it here but the air quality does have me worried, even if it’s not quite as bad as Bakersfield.
That v5 sounded WAY better than I was expecting it to
I do agree there, the Limited’s tire size is quite skinny
The Limited Nightshade trim is a vast improvement. It doesn’t have the weird angles of the other trims and unlike the regular Limited, the big chrome bar up front is blacked out. May just not be your taste at all but we have a Limited Nightshade in white and I like the contrast with the black trim pieces.
I’ve never lusted after the design (I’m a bit indifferent to it) but two nights ago I had a dream that I was sailing down the highway in one and it felt great.
When will Elon Musk write a letter like this...
“I’m soooo manly with my Raptor. Audis are for chicks, man. I spent $90,000 on this luxury truck that will never have anything in the bed, but the most important thing to me is that I don’t look like a chick, even with my heated/cooled seats and 16 cameras that show me how to stay in the lane.”
My regular passengers drive lifted Shelby and Roush-tuned Ford pickups. There’s also a smattering of Ford Raptors, top-trim Lincoln Navigators, and maybe a Jeep or Land Rover.
Donkey Kong Country 2 is my favorite SNES game of all time - I assume it’s not included because it wasn’t developed by Nintendo?
Yea this post is dumb. It’s the final edition of this generation. Why not commemorate it?
BMW has never offered an M wagon in the US. People go to great lengths to import e34 M5 wagons, which makes sense. But who is going to want to import an e61 M5 with a 25 year old infotainment system?
I mean, you need to know that Audi looked at the sales numbers of the E63 wagon before deciding to bring the RS6 Avant here. They are not expecting to sell a lot but like MB they are offering it because even if they don’t make a ton of money on it they will probably break even and get a ton of press for doing so. This…
Honestly with the way design trends are these days, and belt lines getting higher making windows smaller, something about wagons make them look better (to me) than their sedan counterparts. For example, I think the new 3 and 5 series wagons looks so much better than their sedan counterparts. Add in the practicality if…
I know that these systems working properly and current safety regulations makes cars incredibly safe, but I can’t help but snicker when I see this and be glad I’m driving a 1995 525i. I can actually control everything the car is doing, for better worse.
Agreed. It is PAINFUL to me that Cadillac still uses this script. They made a big deal about removing the wreath from their crest and updating the crest (which they made very 3D just when everyone is going flatter, but I digress) but have not touched this script. It looks old and not in a retro cool way.
If they hold back funds to properly outfit the interior in the event it doesn’t sell well... and then it doesn’t sell well, it just becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. They need to go all in on one vehicle, probably a crossover, and just sunk money into making it sumptuous and cool and see what happens. Because what’s…
