I live in California where front plates are required, but I don’t put them on. Once I got a ticket in San Francisco years ago while I was parked (at a non-expired meter...) but that was it. I live in the Central Valley and they don’t really care about front plates. SF is just ticket happy

Speaking of Ram, I was on the freeway yesterday and traffic came to a halt - there was a less than two year old Ram whose engine compartment was completely engulfed in flames.  Was surprised to see a vehicle that new go up like that.

I loved watching this avoid pedestrians with braking almost as much I loved that video last week with the BMW X1 completely failing and just slamming through all the pedestrian dummies. I don’t have a sick sense of humor but I could not stop laughing at how funny that was.

GM tried that with the Envoy XUV. It was ungainly and sucked. 

It is very odd that it is taking them 6-7 more years beyond that to release the thing. We can only hope they are ahead of the next recession while a market for large body in frame SUVs still exists. 

Agree, I hope it’s cool and I pray it does well but it’s taking too damn long. I felt the same about BMW’s X7 since they completed ceded the market for Mercedes and their GL (now GLS) for years. The X7 just came out and it seems the economy has already peaked and is slightly down. Maybe there won’t be a huge ‘market…
