This Wagoneer has been talked about for years - they really need to hurry the F up. By the time it’s released another recession will be here and they’ll be screwed. Come on.

V8s are so powerful these days, I guess the V12 doesn’t have a reason to exist (besides smoothness).

It was available in 3/4 and 1 ton trucks as well, according to this description. Because if the weight class they also didn’t have to publish fuel economy numbers.

I always thought the 8.1L Vortec available in the 2001-2006 Suburban was positively massive.

That’s correct and for good reason - they’re not meant for intense offroading.

Was driving my mother-in-law’s Pilot last summer and I HATED the push button shifter.  Yea, if I owned it I would get used to it, but if it’s going to be ‘different’ at least make the console area more functional.  It takes up all the space (maybe more?) of a regular shifter so it’s sole purpose is to be different.  I

What is especially dumb about this “AT4" trim on the Acadia is that it is not consistent with what AT4 means for the Sierra. If it means actual mechanical upgrades for offroad driving in the Sierra it should mean the same in the Acadia, otherwise it’s just confusing.

At $200k, will they treat it any other way?

Oh, on the Allroad you can have painted cladding instead of black - for an extra grand! Pay extra to make it look like it should, you know gotta make $$$.

Stupid Johan de Nysschen who messed up the naming scheme (further... it was already not great) at Cadillac messed up the naming scheme in his short stint at Infiniti first.

I think their SUV looks even better, especially in that green. I hope GM’s involvement doesn’t F it up... that was my first thought when I saw their possible investment.

BMW has not won. At least Mercedes has the balls to make not one but two AMG variants of the S Class, whereas BMW has that half assed M760Li BS.  Plus MB offers the glorious E63 wagon, for the old money wealth.

When we bought a 2005 BMW X5 last year I went on eBay to find a brochure for it. Finally found one and ordered it. When it arrived I realized it was for the Canadian market, as they had digitally replaced a US license plate with one from British Columbia. All the pictures were exactly the same, that was the only

I used to do this with BMW around 2000 - I remember one time a large box arrived and I was so excited. I think they caught onto me though because after that they wouldn’t send anymore.

I think it’s understandable. I mean, I read this site multiple times a day and you kind of get to know each writer - not to sound sappy but it feels like we’re close friends.

I feel weird for feeling that way too but I hope he gives us some sort of life update.  I wish the best for him and his ordeal sounds gnarly but I had to dig into Twitter (which I don’t have) just to get some of the details when I realized he had been gone for a while.

Less than two weeks ago Jalopnik posted a video of this feature on the 4Runner saying it’s one thing every car should have.  And today it’s “McLaren Spiders have the best feature”.  Hey I just bought a 4Runner and had the rear window rolled down this morning and it was great.  I think the headlines should just read:

Hence why there is a question mark in my username. I call myself a BMW-lover, but only of models from the early 2000s and before. So I don’t know if I can rightfully call myself a bimmerphile...

I get that, but with a tagline that says “The Ultimate DRIVING Machine”, cost and packaging shouldn’t matter.  I’m not saying a FWD is inherently worse, it depends on the priority and it’s laughable that they still use that tagline.

Completely agreed. I daily drive an e34 and boy are they simple. And mine’s a 95 525i which is even more advanced than the 535i in this article, as mine as VANOS.  It has been the most reliable of my three BMWs.
