*curb rash

I’ve gone from V8s or nothing to V8s and Inline 6s or nothing. I’m really venturing out.

I hear that. I went from 19s on an E63 AMG wagon to my now DD, an e34 525i 5 speed with 15 inchers and I couldn’t be happier. From the tire cost being lower to the ride quality to not having to worry about sure rash - it’s a win-win-win.

What an awesome story. I hope you hold onto that thing forever.

On that note, I find it humorous that this article is insanely long to explain all the complex new engineering that went into making this car (supposedly) handle well.

Interesting insight. Thanks!

Saw this while driving a couple months ago and it was AWESOME

Congrats Mr. Torchinsky! This is legitimately the first Meh Car in recent memory that I have not heard of!

This guy doesn’t have a shot in hell of getting the nomination. Yes I understand Trump got it, but there were people who thought he was capable (because he’s a ‘successful’ businessman, etc), even though I don’t understand them, I acknowledge they existed. But there is literally no one who thinks this guy is capable.

My e53 X5 has a third pedal! BMW really did the original generation correctly.

I think it’s the latter, which is even dumber.

Who’s Karen?

This is correct. The e53 (in my opinion) was the only one of BMW’s SAVs that was developed with the classic BMW handling and styling formula in mind and the only one I would consider owning.

Ugh. I remember when the colored grill first became a thing. I seem to recall there was some restraint in that people only put them on actual M cars. I thought at the time it was kind of cool. Well that lasted all of two minutes becsuee of course it then blew up.

It should also be noted that International Orange is the official paint color of the Golden Gate Bridge. How hipster of Mini!

Eww the floating roof with the blacked out C pillar... so having a moment. It will look so dated in like 5 years (kind of already does).

Well said.

I’ve made the mistake of calling my 1995 525i 5-speed ‘old’, and with first just saying “I like older cars” without saying what it is, people think I drive something from like the 70s.

I never believed that Apple started crapping on their ‘older’ products when they’re not even that old, but after my iPhone X I believe it. I had a 4, 5, 6 (all of which I kept for two years each) and never had a scratch on my screen. Within 6 months, my iPhone X had like 4. I dropped my phone and the screen then

Agreed.
