This happened with the e28 M5. BMW’s brochure said only 500. Over 1,000 were brought to the US. Owners sued BMW of North America and WON!

While I don’t think the super rounded look as aged extremely well, I do think this design was ahead of its time.

California has a proposition to repeal the gas tax that was increased (I think around 12 cents/gal) earlier this year. I do believe that gas taxes need to be higher since in most cases they haven’t increased in years, and to keep up with inflation, they should.

Someone I knew once claimed that if there wasn’t an arrow, you could tell by the little gas pump icon in the gauge - if the hose on the gas pump icon was on the right, your gas tank was on the right. If the hose on the gas pump icon was on the left, your gas tank is on the left.

The (stupid) difference is that an asteroid isn’t human caused, but because the collapse of the environment is human caused, it’s very easily turned political.

Yes, on your last point there - there is something that has changed in the last 10 or so years, in that many people believe they deserve an expensive car just because they work full time (and I’m sure some don’t even work full time). This is it - and what I’ve also told people who wonder why this has happened. You think men who think they are tough/outdoorsy are going to drive some Cadillac, Lincoln, or Lexus truck? No way.

Yes, thank you for bringing this up. I should have been more specific. The LED tail lights on the e46 were on the two door versions only (coupe and convertible). The sedan/wagon stuck with halogens.
