Also looked for that - I like modern classic BMWs so searched for an e46 wagon but there aren’t many to choose from and the ones that were for sale have an insane amount of miles or are a little too $$$.

They aren’t for everyone, so totally understandable. If you’re into them you just can’t get enough. I’m not partial to just the e39/e38/e46. I have an e39, e34, and e53 myself.

This generation is from a time that BMW will never recapture. There is a certain subgroup of BMW enthusiasts who like models that ended production in the early to mid-2000s. Sure you can buy a new one, but if you’re looking for the overall experience that an e39 M5 offers, you won’t find it in today’s offerings.

I appreciate your collection. Just bought an e53 3.0 6 speed to join my e39 540i M Sport and e34 525i (my DD). My e39 and my e34 both have between 40k and 50k miles, so my e53 having 95k is new to me. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to pay my trusted shop for work on my previous cars but my dream has been to do

I can’t find it now but I was reading a car magazine (yes, a physical magazine - I’m 31 and love the physical thing too...) anyway, there was a 2018 Camry ad touting all the exciting things about the new Camry and also said :”Not available in beige”.

Good luck - at the event where they announced and RS trim, they also announced that a CVT was replacing the 6 speed auto in the smaller engine.

I thought the headline photo was of Andrew P. Collins...

My mom taught me to drive stick on my cousin’s ‘90s Jetta Mk3.  My aunt and cousins had gone to Europe for a couple weeks and she left her car at our house. There was an area of our development that had streets but no homes yet and my mom taught met to drive there. She was the best teacher - she passed away in 2015

I hate to be that guy, but Prohibition was repealed in 1933, three years before this car was built so this definitely was not used to smuggle liquor. Was it used by the mafia to stalk people on the streets of Chicago and New York and take them out? Probably.

Thank you!

Hey! That looks like my car. I just don’t have a “car phone”. I’ve owned 1 car with an infotainment screen, and I hate them. My goal is to never again own a vehicle with a screen. I love the simplicity. I have an e34, e39, and am in the middle of an e53 X5 (manual!) purchase.

Meanwhile, this was just put up on Bring a Trailer. Do the right thing. Get this truck and keep it as-is!

Haha - well, we were a GM family and after my grandfather passed away my grandma was like I want something smaller and really nice. So I took her to Audi, Infiniti, BMW... and she saw the cream interior with the burl walnut trim and she said THIS IS IT! She had to order it because she wanted an odd combination of

I don’t think anyone on this site will be remotely ready (read: willing) to give up their keys in their 70s. My grandmother (who is 94 and in great shape) and I are close and it has given me a new view on the elderly.

Wasn’t being sarcastic. I understand the point is not the emissions, it’s a byproduct - I still stand by what I said. Different strokes for different folks.

Serves them right - how ridiculous that anyone needs to be spewing crap like that into the air.

Well if you’re looking for something newer I would definitely go the Tesla route - the crap they’re pumping out of Munich these days isn’t at all like it used to be.

Yes, in 2002/2003...

4th gear: hmmm Opel is no longer part of GM Zane is actually doing well - one could infer that GM doesn’t know how to run things. Maybe next time they fail we shouldn’t bail them out. Survival of the fittest, y’know?

After first hearing about this a week ago I didn’t think it was really that big of a thing - until yesterday when a Challenger passed me going the opposite direction and had these on their car.
