Stuff like that is exactly what I meant. Knife handles are way better uses than car interiors. It could also make an awesome table or decorative carving, but I suppose those are just as wasteful. I just like the sound of a cool looking table made from wood with a story like that.

Seconded. I’m currently on the hunt for an RX-3, but short of calling places and wasting their time, I can’t think of how to look for one. No one really seems to list their inventory, and I don’t want to call an importer because I can’t afford one immediately, and that’s probably a key requirement for talking to them.

Even though I could not find one in the pictures, this has given me hope that one day I might actually be able to find an RX-3 to import. It’s impossible to find a US model, so JDM it is.

Why do I suddenly want a custom shop to cut this up to fix the extensive rust, drop it low of some meaty tires, and give it a supped-up motorcycle engine swap?

I’m not crazy about it being fingerprints, but I don’t absolutely hate this idea. I love fractal patterns on cars, so I don’t think this looks terrible, but again, it doesn’t need to be a finger print. I’m all for a fractal option though, but it also needs to be available in more locations than the hood.
