Avatar. And when it went south, boy did it fall hard. I didn't go in being a hater—I happily went to see this mess in the theater, in fact. It's sad that such a technically forward-thinking project would take a promising premise and then stack on every transparent and groan-worthy cliche possible.

This version started as a fairly faithful adaptation of Matheson's book only to degenerate into a clone of "28 Days Later".

Seeing it twice, I've gotta say, the audience reactions can be one of the best parts of the experience. Seeing what gets a laugh, a cheer and, a few times what can even get a weepy eye here and there.
