What about the millions of black people who live there? It’s not like the wypipo would let them reverse-secede from their states.

Fuuuuuuck that noise. There are LGBTQ and POC in those states that deserve protection.

yeah, go away, states with *checks notes* the highest number of black people! go make your racist white utopia in some other country where i wont be responsible for what happens to the black people there!

Problem is then it gets much much worse for the people who cant leave those states are stuck there.

He is a crab people.

Somehow, I think you knew the answer to this question but asked it anyway because you’re not very clever.

Stop feeding this troll, folks. His username is literally a racist reference.

How do you live without a heart?

You do, since you spent time clicking and commenting.

Good for her. It’s one thing to be paroled or pardoned; it’s quite another thing to try to get back on your feet. Kim Kardashian not only helped her get released, she also gave her the dignity of earning a paycheck that helps to enjoy a life worth living.

It is often extraordinarily hard for felons to get jobs, let alone living wage jobs, and working is often a requirement of probation. I wouldn’t be surprised if she mentioned this to Kim and Kim said, “I’ll give you a job and you don’t have to worry about money.” I’m okay with this.

Ms. Johnson does look fine just the way she is, but maybe Ms. Johnson wants to throw on a little shapewear once in a while.

British TV has had a couple reality shows about communes. The first in 2000, Castaway in the Outer Hebrides islands in Scotland was riveting: beautiful but challenging location, multiple generations and backgrounds, not enough food, romances, feuds - like a trainwreck and an epic natural disaster combined.

I would watch the shit out of it, though.

Honestly? That woman is more likely to lose custody of her kids for moving to a commune without a sufficient job than for being gay these day at least in terms of official court rulings.

I think that coupled with the implication of this post is probably the truth. They didn’t design a space for women, or even specifically queer women...they designed a space for themselves. And you know? That’s fine. I’m sure it’s hard for them to grapple with the idea that they were never serving some higher purpose

No one wants to be unpaid labor on an unsuccessful organic farm.

Some of this stuff is super interesting, and I’ve definitely been to a few festivals that were a lot of fun-but the whole “Womyn’s Land” thing has really been poisoned by the Michfest thing. I think a lot of younger folks have, at the very least, a live-and-let-live approach when it comes to trans folks, so it is hard

Yeah, the “learning” strikes a wrong note. You’re talking about grown-up women, right? Ostensibly we are both on the same level, so assuming we’re supposed to be sitting at your feet and learning might be part of why young women aren’t showing up for you in huge numbers.

Right? The closeted woman who was terrified of losing her kids? I bet some version of that is pretty prominent in conservative areas. But all that woman has to do is find support online in a few minutes. And I bet that woman would have chosen that option had it been available when she needed it.
