So I spent an entire day with her in person just a couple of weeks ago and she is pretty dark. Vogue didn’t really darken her skin here. As a fellow Swede, I am as pale as the white background on which I am currently typing— her olive skin stood out to me immediately.

THANK you. I needed that. But seriously, get out.

But they were all wearing ballet flats so, while rude, it was also hauntingly elegant.

You know, when I finally sat down for my Vogue profile, security just immediately escorted me out of the building. Very rude.

45 hours over four days is a long deliberation. There were probably innumerable compromises made.

He actually says to the jury as he approaches the bench, “how could you do that? how could you do that?”
Rage. Blinding rage. How could THEY do that? I hope this fuckin’ guy really enjoys his possible 263 years.

18...out of 36. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad he’s been found guilty at all. I had my doubts the jury would do the right thing . I know there’s some nuance here about why he was found guilty of only half of his charges that I’m probably missing. I just would’ve preferred to hear “guilty on ALL counts”. Still, watching

Seeing people who have callously committed horrific acts on other people start to cry when forced to take (some) responsibility for their conduct always makes me hate them even more.

I agree, I think that they will end up co parenting or they figure it out and he learns to compromise after they’ve been apart for a while and they get back together.

The show has always struggled to use the secondary characters. It goes back and forth from trying to be an ensemble comedy to neglecting them for several episodes. Overall it has been interesting though and despite the weak spots it still has pretty great jokes.

And that she made Chris Christie cry at a parade.

Jeremy’s my favorite character. He used to be this suave guy and now he has to hire improv actors to be his friends. I love it so much.

Her mom is the best. Also this :

I love that Sheena works at the White House.

TOTALLY agreed, omg. He just needs to deal with his macho bullshit, and that is obviously the perfect solution. She hasn’t ever brought it up seriously, which is again, something any non-TV couple with equal incomes probably would have by now. I get that he’s supposed to be kind of a throwback character, but he’s also

I feel everything was like weirdly out of character for Danny this season. He’s super Catholic, BUT it takes him like a million years of gut wrenching soul searching to propose to his pregnant girlfriend who obviously wants to get married. THEN he wants them to have a second kid before the wedding? What? And despite

The best thing about The Mindy Project, despite the spotty pacing and structure are the AMAZING one liners.

Kaling has made comments recently about how her hope for the evolution of the show was to go through what it’s like when you get what you always wanted on paper (hot fiance, adorable kid, awesome career) but the reality is much messier. Basically: what happens after the credits roll in a romcom? And because Mindy

“You don’t wake up one morning after starting a life with someone and having a kid with them and suddenly realize they’re terribly wrong for you.”

Remember when he attempted anal by surprise b/c he lacked the capacity to just, you know, ask if she was into it?
