I don’t know if it’s a sign of experience or being older or both but I watch movie trailers now and it’s (to borrow the tone of Cypher from the Matrix): trope, trope, cliche, that scene fits with that other one, this is probably going to be how it’s going to end....Younger me would have been excited about a new movie…

As they say, I don’t need to become pregnant to know it ends in pain, and I don’t need to visit to Detroit to know it smells. Trailers are made to entice you to the movie. Notice i said there was no SIGN for character development. My impression is *pass*. I’ll let YOU go watch the movie and entice me to watch it…

So many visuals, so little sign of character development or compelling story.
