“Ohhh-wheee looks like we’re really popular now! Time to celebrate by not, by, by not making any shows for like, uhhh, for like six years! Hope you all like reeeeruns! Ohh-whee!”

According to Wikipedia, the season finale got 2.60m viewers, which isn’t even the highest rated Season 3 episode (Rickmancing the Stone, 2.86m). Guessing this excludes live-streaming (which Adult Swim was doing for free) and DVR, though.

Maybe I’m in a bubble or something, but I see far more people complaining about R&M fans than I do the outrageous behavior in question. Even in the R&M subreddit, which I’d expect to be inundated with that crap, complains about that crap. (I don’t sub to it, I just poked around trying to see examples of this shit.)

You know, I see this kind of comment a lot, and it never fails to bug me. Why should the community (wordplay!) affect how you interact with a piece of art? I recognize that a lot of people on Reddit are shitheads, so I choose not to interact with them and thus never have to deal with MRAs who think that being a self

I keep hearing about how bad the fan base is, yet I never see it. Where are these terrible fans (Reddit doesn’t count for obvious reasons)?

Wow could that statement be any more corporate-y? What about its four-quadrant appeal? Could it be Rasta-ifed 10 percent?

As much fun as it would’ve been to watch a bunch of juggalos in full makeup beat the living shit out of Trumpers, I’m really glad it never came to that. A big riot would’ve undermined the purpose of their march and given the Trumpers cause to bitch about being ‘victimized’ again. And I think it’s pretty safe to say

I am increasingly frustrated with this site. I can’t even type a comment without the cursor getting dragged back to the beginning. I ... y’all, I think I’m done.

Gone are the halcyon days of Hormel Black Label Bacon.

I agree. The burner account thing really makes it seem like they want to discourage the community. There was no reason to make the change. I’m happy for the staff that the back end is working better for them but the user facing part of this is horrible.

Given that he’s a Republican in 2017, is anybody really surprised that Cruz’s kink is people standing quietly on the sidelines and playing with themselves?

The AV Club (Kinja Edition)

This is as good a week place as any to leave this. I’ve been reading the AV Club for close to ten years. This new site is a travesty. I may return if things improve but for now, farewell.

Ted Cruz was deeply troubled that the dog on Fraiser would bites its castmates. How is this hard?

I, personally, love non-related videos in between each paragraph.

Wait what? I am confused. All these damn ads in-between the paragraphs made this almost nonsensical to read.

It’s my fifth or sixth favorite, but with Kanye that still means I love it.

Well yeah but this is something they’ve been doing for years. It’s basically what the whole Great Job Internet tag is for. It just used to be easier to ignore before kinja; now they’re just mixed into the feed with everything else.

I meant more in the sense that this whole genre of obscure memes doesn’t seem like it would mesh well with the community (or what remains of it) that we have going here. Alongside the fact that there’s absolutely 0 material to be mined out of these videos to write for articles.

Okay I actually fully enjoy this guy and he has made me laugh several times (you left out his best video, the “Where the fuck am I bro?” one).
