Some of the CDs I purchased in the ‘80's have rotted to the point of unreadability; fortunately I’d already ripped them.

There’s a kid down the street with a 370z; my spouse had 0 qualms about ratting him out to his parents for speeding up the street (buddy, it’s 25 mph for a reason, that’s an elementary school at the end of the block). He toned it down... for a week or two. Sigh.

Dad took the whole family to see Wizards. I was nine. :D

My sister is a practicing Catholic who votes blue, but I get the feeling she’s the exception that proves the rule (I’ve been out of the Church for... counts on fingers... thirty-five?ish? years, so I don’t know many Catholic women). Of course, my *other* sister who is a practicing Catholic votes... Republican. Sigh.

Thanks; I was going to ask if that person was worth responding to, but you’ve answered that question very succinctly.

Rhesus monkeys? We’re not that closely related...

starred for “urinary Olympics”

Alas, I’m in a similar boat, and I do live in one of the legal states, but CBD doesn’t really help :(

I kept scrolling looking for this reference, and I am not disappointed. :D

You missed Isaac Asimov, Harlan Ellison, Larry Niven... but I mostly read SF.

Fido was a very good dog, though...

Black Lotus always gets a star.

Bought my daughter an Outback before she came out... Oops?

Am I being too nerdy when I suggest that Evans could have read 2000 AD having grown up in Wales and all? I can’t name specific issues / arcs, but block wars were a recurring theme in the Judge Dredd comics.

I said to my spouse after seeing the preview: “Huh, looks like the vocal coaching profession has given up on Mr. Butler.”

Starred for user name and content :D

yeah, you’re being willfully ignorant and obtuse

My sister’s ex wasn’t having an affair (that we know of), but he didn’t want to be a parent and she did. Our mom traveled cross-country to support my sister during and immediately after birth (kid was breech, ended up with a c-section) and she intimidated him* into staying around to help during the immediate

Mine’s for costuming purposes, and was purchased from a local bladesmith. SF conventions are great for sucking the money out of my wallet on things like that.

(humanity seems to have a hard on for them in any place that ever had them)
